“I knew you were going to be good parents when I saw you both in that

Hotel in Hawaii.” ~ James Leininger (Age 5?)

The above line is what young James Leininger said to his father at the age of 5 or 6. James is the most documented case of “Past Lives” and “Reincarnation”.

LilJames

On this Mothers’ day, it makes me wonder if we had a choice to pick our parents, or if it was just James that had a choice. This is part of a discipline called “Theosophy”.  The difference between Theology and Theosophy is that the latter explains the “How” behind the what.

In the documentary, the father of James is initially a skeptic/Bible thumping evangelical that “believeth not”. Most Christians that do not believe reincarnation is real do so because of the parable of Lazarus and Abraham’s bosom.  In short, Lazarus is a poor man who lives a righteous yet poor life and then there’s the man of wealth.  Both die and move to the next realm.  Of course the rich man who is a non-believer is in the lake of fire and can see Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom.  (Let me explain).  The term “In Abraham’s bosom is like that first time you walk through the door of your home after 12 weeks of Basic military training, and Dad is there to welcome you home by greeting you with a big hug.  Ya know those hugs where you wait to see who lets go first? To make Hell worse, the rich man finally sees Abraham and believes and asks to go back just to warn his family members.  Abraham replied, naw, if they wouldn’t believe while you were alive, they still won’t believe.  Hard core Christian believers believe that means, one life per customer.  And from a physical mortal position, that’s true.  But can the rich man come back in a poor man’s body with no recollection of his past life?

Let me give you a couple of verses to consider. In Matthew 16:13, why did Jesus ask his disciples: “Who do they say I am”? Peter’s response in Matthew 16:14 is simple, he said: ““Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.” OK, John the Baptist is just wrong.  He baptized Jesus.  Are we to believe that JTB and Jesus shared the same spirit? I’m not buying it.  But many of the Jews thought Jesus was an old testament Prophet.  My point is, in the first century, reincarnation was an accepted belief.

The next verse is even more convincing as it comes from the mouth of Christ. Flip the page to Matthew 17:10.  I’m going to paraphrase.  After Jesus had confessed He was the Christ; his disciples asked: “Then why do the scribes say Elijah must come first ?” here is the New American Standard Version which is the KJV minus the “Thees” and “Thous”.

Matthew 17:11

” And He answered and said, “Elijah is coming and will restore all things; 12 but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that He had spoken to them about John the Baptist.

Christ’s disciples believed that Jesus was saying, the old Prophet Elijah had returned in the body of “John the Baptist”. How else can you interpret that last line?  In keeping with the parable of Lazarus and Abraham, it wasn’t Elijah that came back to life.  It was John the Baptist with Elijah’s spirit.  Just as James III thought he was James Jr.  He wasn’t.  He is James III with James Jr’s soul.  No memory of much after the age of 4 or so.  Do you ever wonder why little children often have “Imaginary friends”?  Pediatricians say that most people cannot recall their childhood prior to the age of 4.  Is this because the younger we are, the closer we are to our last incarnation?

So this makes me wonder. Do we have a say in being reincarnated?  Do we get a pre-incarnate look at what our life is going to be like?  Perhaps we get a look at the circumstances we’re born into.  Perhaps not.  Why would an intelligent spirit choose to be an Ethiopian slave?  The comedian “Father Guido Sarducci” once said that many nuns were gangsters in former lives.  That’s why they enjoy inflicting pain on the kids.  On the other hand, if you’re looking at 70 years in south Chicago or eternity in Hell, one looks much better than the other.  If it means saving lives while risking your own; or Hell, the answer is pretty easy.

I’ve always felt we were born into our situation, (rich or poor) to get the spiritual knowledge that being in that position could give you. I’m not talking about mental knowledge or conscious knowledge, but the feelings that build the character you get from getting kicked around in life. You get to understand what it’s like being poor.  Maybe if you arrive in the after life with a grudge because you tried your hardest but were still poor, you come back as a Rothschild only to see the drawbacks of wealth. (Loss of privacy, feelings of guilt, always having to wear and say the right things).  I learned many years ago that if you can’t be happy when you’re without money; you’ll never be happy with money.  I said that during a knee arthroscopy and the Orthopedic surgeon I was working with who was bringing in 3M a year (was) replied: “You said it”.

AceE

I’ve always felt that I was a German Lüftwaffe Pilot in my previous life. (And a good one).  I think I killed many.  I also get memories of crashing my Messerschmitt into the side of a mountain.  Is it any wonder that this musician had to spend the majority of his life in Surgery?  Did I need to learn what it was like to put people back together in surgery?  I was trusted to drill tunnels in your knee, or carve out a new tendon for your ACL, then sew you up at the end of the case.

When the government did away with paying general surgeons to assist, former Navy corpsmen like me were in demand.  I saw my salary triple overnight.  But who knows, maybe I’m that same “Ace” that killed so many British, Russian and American pilots before getting shot down, but with a better understanding and respect for human life?

God can do whatever He wants for whatever reason. Maybe not everyone gets reincarnated.  Maybe the previous Ace needed some spiritual fine tuning and was worth saving with a little polishing.

In closing; let me leave you with one last bible verse. It’s the most profound verse in the book of Job.  It comes from an innocent young sympathizer of Job’s named Elihu.

JOB 37:5

“God thunders with His voice wondrously,

Doing great things which we cannot comprehend.”

I get it. I don’t know crap about the intricacies or the extent of the God of our Universe.  The God of Infinity.  And even if it were taught to me; I wouldn’t be able to understand it.

Jesus said: “Love God and love your neighbor as you would love yourself””. Everything else is just STUFF. (Vanities, useless, fodder etc…) Also, honor your parents.  Even if you were born to an alcoholic drug addict mother.  God wants you to “Love” without a reason.  That’s your sign of being born again.

The POTUS LINE

NEXT IN LINE

Many of you don’t realize that “Primary” elections were not as serious until 1968. It’s the 1968 Faux Pas that brought America Richard Nixon. (AKA Trick Dick).  As a young Democrat wannabe (before I had to pay taxes) I was charmed by a politician named Bobby Kennedy.  Bobby was the most likable of the Kennedy brothers. Jack was the Leader, yet covertly flawed, Ted was the black sheep and Bobby was the “good boy”.  He was probably the parents’ favorite.  He was also America’s favorite in 1968 as America had lost a popular president named Kennedy just 5 years earlier.

America’s favorite in 1968

ButtonRFK

In 1968 it was not Bobby’s turn. Hubert Humphrey was next in line to run as the Jack Ass candidate.  But Bobby ran also.  Just as we saw in Trump and Obama, (I threw up a little in the back of my mouth when I added the latter) They hadn’t paid their dues or to put it more precisely: “Kissed the Ring”.

Bobby was young, handsome and charismatic. Even republicans had no problem in 68 conceding the election to another Kennedy.  Sadly, as this 12 year old was half awake and half asleep listening to his radio on a hot California June 6th night, I was awakened by the sound of: “Rafer (Johnson) get the gun”.  Then someone yelled: “He’s been shot”.

I thought I was having a bad nightmare. My father who was not well versed in parenting skills came home from work and said: “They shot your candidate”.  He didn’t know how crushed I was, (as was most of America) especially because my mom had died in June of the previous year. My neighbor was John J. McFall (D) congressman from CA.  He got me interested in civics at the age of 12.

FAUX PAS off the Starboard bow.

The DNC who was not supporting Kennedy, continued to run Humphrey (LBJ’s VP) as the DNC candidate. He lost to Richard Nixon.  Nixon’s only political capital was that he was VP under Eisenhower. But when a Muslim named Sirhan Sirhan shot and killed Bobby Kennedy, he took down the DNC’s presidential hopes as well.  Bobby, like Donald Trump, had a following.  He was another wealthy, handsome Kennedy.  Not only did Sirhan Sirhan get Nixon elected; he ended the era of the back room deal makers choosing the next presidential candidate. (To a degree).  Labor unions controlled the DNC for about 40 years.  A majority of union members were pro-George Wallace. In 1968 many registered voting union members stayed home and gave the election to Richard Nixon, who had failed to beat Pat Brown for Governor of California.

THE 1968/2016 VORTEX

DJT

Donald Trump took America by storm.  He is easily the most controversial candidate we’ve seen since George Wallace in 1968.  The RNC establishment was dreaming for a Trump “implosion” since June of last year.  Nobody took the Talk show host billionaire seriously. But those who love “The Donald” do so because they’re tired of political correctness and a POTUS that refuses to use the term Islamic Terrorism.  Those opposed to the Donald are either in this country illegally or simply afraid of what Trump might do while running the country like one of his businesses.  He’s shown how ruthless he can be which (to some) is a refreshing new Doctrine compared to the lead from behind mentality of the previous POTUS.  If Bernie Sanders (A registered Ind.) goes 3rd party, millions of millennials and welfare recipients will split the Hillary vote ala George Wallace.  If Ted Cruz & Bernie run as a 3rd & 4th party, prepare for a cage match.

I pray nobody is assassinated.  I also pray that Hillary gets the indictment she so deserves.  It feels like 1968 all over again.  But this time more is at stake.  We need Trump’s financial knowledge to get us out of Obama’s 21 Trillion of debt.  We also need to let the world know that there’s a “NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN”.

To Hell and Back

I  realized I was doing a lot of bible thumping the last week or so.  I don’t know why.  So I figured I’d turn you on to this video about NDERs that didn’t have the warm fuzzy feeling of the tunnel and the white light.  It’s a good watch.  Amazing stories (Wondrous Stories) and you’ll know that you can always come here to find it.  It’s called To Hell and Back. (Not to be confused with the Audie Murphy story)

Conflict and Forgiveness

UF12

Matthew 18:21-35

“Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him. In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars. He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold—along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned—to pay the debt.

“But the man fell down before his master and begged him, ‘Please, be patient with me, and I will pay it all.’ Then his master was filled with pity for him, and he released him and forgave his debt.

“But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars. He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment.

“His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time. ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it,’ he pleaded. But his creditor wouldn’t wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full.

“When some of the other servants saw this, they were very upset. They went to the king and told him everything that had happened. Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said, ‘you evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt.

“That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.”

Matthew 5:39

“ If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also”.

Luke 23:34

Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

What does it mean?

The first parable in Matthew 18:21-35 Jesus is saying that you’ve been given a great chance by the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God.  It asks the question, who are you to go out and NOT extend the same kindness to others.

In Matthew 5:39 Jesus is saying that if someone comes up to you and provokes you, let it go.  Sometimes, silence is a bolder response than a “smack down”.  God said that vengeance was His for a reason.

In Luke 23:34 Jesus had been tortured all night and hung on a cross to die.  The Roman guards were dividing up His belongings to put on EBAY.  (Or whatever the equivalent marketplace was at the time).  They probably knew what they were doing was evil, but like those who were drafted as Nazis, they did what they were ordered to do.  In retrospect, although they didn’t know what they were doing; it had to be done.  Just as Judas had to sell out Jesus; it had to be done.  It was the plan from the beginning. If Judas doesn’t sell out Jesus; it is NOT done.  If the Romans don’t crucify Christ; it is NOT done.  If it is not done; we do not have a path to salvation.

The most important point in this message is that we HAVE to forgive those who have offended us. I’ve written in the past that I don’t need to forgive a person if they don’t ask for forgiveness.  When you look at Christ being spit on and mocked with a crown of thorns, you have to ask: “Where did the Romans and Jews ask for forgiveness”?  The answer is, it doesn’t matter.

“That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.” Jesus didn’t say from your “Lips”.  He meant, forgive them and turn it over to the Lord.  Vengeance is His.

The same applies for those you need forgiveness from. They may have you blocked on their cell phone or their Face Book account, but you can ask God to forgive the sin you remembered.  I know of a person I hurt badly and am lucky they didn’t come looking for me with a 9mm pistol.  I spent an hour or longer in my room alone trying to think of all the sins I know I blatantly committed so I could ask God for forgiveness.  It amazes me how I remember sins I committed as a child.  It makes me wonder how many I can’t remember or didn’t know that I had committed.

One person died that I was estranged from. Even before his death, I realized that he needed help and his actions, (the lies and let downs), were his shield in life.  It’s how he dealt with an unfair childhood.  Ironically, had I gotten a hold of him and told him that I forgave him, his response would have been: “For what?  I haven’t done anything wrong.”  Forgiveness is something that is expected of you, if you expect forgiveness when the party is over.  As for expecting forgiveness from others, Christ said to turn the other cheek and let it go.  (Note, Christ was not implying that you not defend yourself or your family) He was saying, let it go.  If you’ve forgiven the person for slapping you, you should be able to resist the provocation.

If you detect the feeling of “stubbornness” in your heart, you should make the effort to make things right. If you’ve cursed someone, (i.e., Go to Hell) understand that you are taking that curse to the grave with you.  At that point you truly need to appeal to God’s grace like the unforgiving servant in Matthew 18:21-35.

I once learned in an Alanon meeting that “Anger” is a poison that you ingest in hopes of making someone else die.  Therefore, I “try” to live by the creed of :

“Let go ~ Let God.”

THE SILENT WAR

ALEx

Who wants to live forever? ~ Freddie Mercury (and Queen)

The United States of America has done wonderful things since the end of WWII. Capitalism is responsible for part of the success and it’s also partially responsible for the silent war.  We’re beginning to see the effects of the silent war every week.

The greatest generations, those who fought WWII benefitted the most from the rise in technology. In the early 70s, there was a movement called “ZPG”.  It stood for Zero Population Growth.  Someone smarter than I looked at the growth rate of the U.S. in the late 1960s and early 1970s and predicted that at our then current rate of reproduction, it would not be long before the American lifestyle would become unsustainable.

Many people who would have died from artery disease

In 1972 Americans were advised to limit their families to 1.5 children. This was a plan that would provide for a balanced growth rate.  Those born in the 30s and 40s were in their golden years when America was in the early stages of technological health inventions.  Many people who would have died from artery disease are living longer due to statin drugs which actually clean the inner lining of your arteries.  (Its side effects notwithstanding).

Then chemists started playing with our food. Why?  As our population grew, we could not tolerate the waste that was taken for granted in the 40s.  Cows that use to get sick would be disposed of.  Now in some countries, cows are fed anti-biotics (as well as steroids) to keep cattle production up to meet demands.  Ironically, in the 60s ground beef was 69 cents a pound. Today that same pound will cost you roughly $6.00 dollars a pound.  Sure you can find it watered down with more fat for $5.00 a pound but do you really want to consume something that is 20% saturated fat?

Just as our life expectancy was growing, a new silent warrior invaded us that consisted of “Partially hydrogenated soy bean oils and High Fructose Corn Syrup”. Yes the same drive to keep up with our population’s demands is killing us silently in the form of pancreatic cancer, lower digestive tract cancer and Mesothelioma and other lung cancers.

This is a picture of Ray Kroc's first McDonald's restaurant in Des Plaines IL USA - now a museum.

People didn’t die from these forms of death in the 19th century.  Sadly, the people that will die from chemical induced cancers are those who are forced to live on fast food.  Former governor Mike Huckabee has a saying: “If it wasn’t a food 50 years ago; don’t eat it.  The problem is, even the foods we grew 50 years ago are grown faster and are having their genes modified.  (GMOs).

Barry%20Bonds

Just look at Barry Bonds before and after Steroids.  The same thing is state of the art technology in the food industry.  We won’t discuss poultry.  I’m not a PITA nut, but anyone with 2 eyes and a heart can see that what we do to chickens is by far the most inhumane.

Plastic2

д

Don’t Eat Fish.

I see too many otherwise healthy people dying in their 60s. 20 years ago, that would have been unheard of.  We had made it to a point where Americans expected to live far into their 80s.  Life was a moral decision in the 90s.  Who would want to live into their 80s or 90s?  The Rev. Billy Graham has been saying for 10 years he’s ready for God to take him home.  In the graphic, notice how the growth rate leveled off in 1980.

The Average life expectancy of an American stands at 79 years. (If you trust the current administration) Many of those in grave yards are registered democrats voting with absentee ballots.  In 1960 it was 70.  We still trail Japan.  I guess we gained 8 years.

I guess the only question is: “Are they worth it”?

Git Right With Jesus

Cross

The Following is an excerpt from the “Article Happy Ever Afterlife”

on 3/26/2016

I need to post it for future reference for the Salvation Of your Spirit.  This was following a sentence that talked about my brother’s unexpected sudden death on 11/1/2016.  I started the paragraph with, I only hope he had gotten right with Jesus.  It’s a phrase you hear down south as in: “Boy you need to git right with Jesus”.

CONTINUED FROM ORIGINAL ARTICLE

(Translated: he had read the bible and heard the gospel, confessed his sins, repented from his digressions, proclaimed Jesus as his savior and was baptized in water).  From my decades of studying the “Holy Bible” those are the various “conditions” that constitute “Belief”.  You might have seen the guy with the big sign that says “Go Niners” on one side, then on the other it says “John” then some numbers.  It’s a bible verse.  He usually has season tickets in the end zone.

J316

I’m sure if you’ve ever heard just one verse quoted to you from a bible thumper it wasn’t from Peter in Acts 2:38 saying to those that wanted Jesus dead then said oops we wacked our savior. What should we do? In Acts 2:37 Peter told those ignorant Jews that wanted salvation: “Repent (turn away from sin) and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness.” (Baptism is a symbolic plea to The God of infinity to be spiritually born again) *You’re gonna get wet.  Baptism is from the Greek word Baptisma which translates to “submerge”. (Not sprinkle)

JesusBaptism

It probably wasn’t Mark 16:16 either where Jesus (Also the God of infinity) said: “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved but he who has disbelieved shall perish”. Oh oh; there’s that word baptize again.

You probably weren’t aware of what the Apostle John wrote to all Christians in his first letter (1 John 1:8) when he wrote: “If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He (God) is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

You can find many other references that explain what this “Belief” is. But my point was not to write an article that says: “If you REALLY BELIEVE then you’ll…”  That’s like a wife saying: “If you REALLY LOVED ME you would buy me diamonds.  Please don’t get me wrong.  Getting baptized alone won’t save you.  Believing that Jesus is the Son of God won’t alone won’t save you. (Even the demons believe).  Confessing alone won’t save your spirit. Repenting is good but that in its self won’t save you.

JOHN 3:16

To save you 40 years of study, those 3 verses from the New Testament are examples of “belief”. Why is that important?  Because; the sign you’ve seen so many times is from 4th book of the New Testament, The gospel of John.  It’s from the 3rd chapter and 16th verse which reads: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life”.

It’s election season. How many candidates have you heard say: “Yes I said that but that clip was taken out of context”.  If you study the bible it’s important that you read James’ letter to the 12 tribes of Israel.  In the 2nd chapter and 19th verse James says: “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder”.   Are demons covered under the same verse of “Belief”?

In this chapter (James 2) James is teaching what I’m trying to pass on to you, the reader. In fact James, the earth brother through Mary, of Jesus, goes on a Holy rant.  All of the one liners that radio evangelists use or even churches that are more interested in your “Love gift” (Money) than they are your eternity will fall back on one verse that is not taken in its full context.  “Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life”.  This verse is true and captures the beauty of salvation.

A DAY CALLED EASTER

WHAT IS IT REALLY? (Just another manmade Holiday.)

Last Supper

And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. ~ Luke 22:19-20

2016 years ago Jews celebrated Passover. It was in remembrance of God’s Angel “Passing Over” the homes of the Jews that believed and had put a mark in blood from a slaughtered spring lamb on their door post.  This was the 10th and deadliest of the 10 plagues on Egypt to force Pharaoh to Let His people go.  It was the death of the first born. This happened in 1300 BC.

You can see the similarities between Passover and Easter. Both required the blood of a lamb.  It’s also important to note that the Jews saw Moses as a powerful man of God.  In a way, he was seen as a “Savior”.

If you fast forward 1300 years we come to the birth of Christ.  The Jews of the time were expecting Moses V.2 and looking for a “powerful” leader like Moses.  When Jesus started his 3 years of teaching, he taught peace.  He wasn’t like Joshua, a fierce warrior.  He taught the Jews to love their neighbors and pray for their enemies.  This was not the image the Pharisees had.  The prophecy of Christ’s birth are many in the Old Testament. (Somewhere around 352) You can start with Isaiah 7:14.

In Matthew 5:17 Jesus said: “Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill”. Jesus (God in the flesh) became the lamb.

On the other hand, John writes from the Island of Patmos in the book called “Revelation” that Jesus will return and there will be Justice. Man will see the “other side” of Jesus. On a personal note, I believe this will happen in our time so “get right with Jesus” (see yesterday’s sermon)

As for Easter, know that it’s a Sunday when Christians celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Also understand that Jesus (as with Christmas) did not say: “Pick a day in spring and remember me”.  No.  Read the top paragraph again.  In the book of Acts Luke wrote in chapter 20 verse 7: “When we gathered on the first day of the week to break bread…”  Yes this is a partial verse as it goes on to talk about Paul’s plans for travel the next day.  But this is the only reference in the New Testament as to when the original 1st century church took communion.

In Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth in chapter 11 verse 26 Paul instructed: “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” So Easter should be practiced every day.  Some consider the blessing of your meal a form of remembering Christ.

Many churches hold communion on various Sundays of the year to remember the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, but as you see in Acts 20, Paul said they got together on the first day of the week or Sunday.

Traditional Easter eggs

Finally Easter Eggs

The tradition was started by Christians in Mesopotamia (Modern day Iraq) where they would take eggs, color them red (for the blood of Christ) and remove the contents. This would be indicative of the empty tomb.

As for the bunny?  Go ask Santa Clause.

HAPPY EVER AFTERLIFE

“HAPPILY EVER AFTER” in the afterlife

I have to address this to the baby boomers that have made it this far. (Anyone born between 1946 to 1964).  Chances are you went to bed to stories of lost children or a damsel in distress that was rescued by a hero and in the end: “They lived happily ever after.”  If you’re not a boomer, “who knows what you were told”?

Do you have any Idea how much that quote programmed your head?

On this Easter Weekend I’m here to tell you that there is no real happiness on this planet or in this physical life. The term “happily ever after” is short for “living happy forever after adversity”.

Memo*

In this life adversity is an ongoing presence. If it’s not in your life, you’re hiding from it.  If you live in the Middle East or the western European states, you’re not living so happily ever after the bombings and shootings.  It’s the nature of the incarnate world.

THE TEST

Two days ago I had a diagnostic scan for a possible Abdominal Aortic Aneurism (AAA). “Why”?  I’m not 65 yet, nor do I smoke.  I’m not even 60.  On November 1, 2015 my brother died suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 65 from an AAA.  He woke up, emptied his bladder, went back to bed and didn’t wake up again.  “Ya never know. Ya know”?

To quote Robert Lamm:

“Does anybody really know what time is?

Does anybody really care?

If so I can’t imagine why.

We’ve all had time enough to die.”

Bible

My only hopes are that, (as they say down south) “he was right with Jesus”.

It probably wasn’t Mark 16:16 either where Jesus (Also the God of infinity) said: “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved but he who has disbelieved shall perish”. Oh oh; there’s that word baptized again.

Repenting is a good start, but that in its self won’t save you.  Doing all of them shows your belief and because God shows grace to those who believe, you will be welcomed.

God’s grace is the only thing that allows you into “Paradise”.  If you come to my house and I let you in, it’s my grace that allows you in.  If I say: “You need to take off your shoes before you come in” that does not mean that if you show up at my house with your shoes off that I have to let you in. (That would be works) Without my permission or grace, you have no right or “entitlement” to enter my house.

To save you 40 years of study, those 3 verses from the New Testament are examples of “belief”. Why is that important?  Because; the sign you’ve seen so many times is from the 4th book of the New Testament, the gospel of John.

In fact James, the earthling brother of Jesus, through Mary, goes on a Holy rant.  All of the one liners that radio evangelists use or even churches that are more interested in your “Love gift” (Financial donation) than they are your spiritual welfare will fall back on one verse that is not taken in its full context.  “Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life”.  This verse is true and captures the beauty of salvation.

Let me ask you just two questions.

Would you agree that: “Whoever possesses a valid driver’s license may drive a car?  Yes it’s true.  To get a driver’s license you have to take a test and get 80% correct.  Then you have to find a car and go for a ride with a brave soul from the DMV or MOT (for my readers across the pond).  The original verse is true but it’s not as simplistic as it sounds.

If I say: “Whoever pays the taxman shall not go to jail but shall be allowed to work another year until it’s time to pay the taxman again”.   Most of us would agree?   OK, let me talk to my fellow Americans.  Next month the taxman cometh.  Do you know how much to pay him?  Do you have your W-2 form or your 1099 form with your 1040 form filled out correctly?  You can’t just send the IRS (Taxman) some money in an envelope and move on?

Many Radio preachers say: “You are saved by Grace through Faith and not by works.” (Ephesians 2:8)

Homeless

Believing” in Jesus is the same principle. In that same book of James, (Chapter 2:18) he says: “You have faith and I have works.  I’ll show you my faith by my works”.  James later in the chapter goes on to say: “faith without works is dead.”  (Let me paraphrase) If you see a homeless person freezing in the cold, do you look the other way?  If you “believe” in Jesus, wouldn’t Jesus give him a blanket or take him to a shelter?  If you turn your eyes away is that “believing in him”?  How can you claim to believe, yet let a brother freeze in the cold?

BACK TO THE ULTRASOUND

In closing

I still haven’t received an official “reading” on my ultrasound test but it doesn’t matter anymore as I believe in Him. (The God of infinity) I’m not perfect but I try to walk the talk.  On this Easter holiday remember; our time here is short.  King Solomon used the term a vapor. “Happily ever after” is a myth we tell our insecure children at night.  It helps keep the boogie man away.

You’ll never know when you’ll wake up, empty your bladder and then go back to bed and not wake up again. OR even worse; wake up and face judgment.

Christ

Jesus paid the ultimate price for you. He was tortured and executed because our creator wanted to give us imperfect humans a chance at an afterlife.  Why would you let it go to waste?

10 THINGS FROM THE 21st CENTURY I WOULDN’T MISS

Obama_Teleprompter_Incompetence_Poster

10.  CAMERAS on Cell phones.  The phone is a nice safety feature especially while traveling and you need to call your auto club to change a tire.  And of course quick access to 911.

9.  OBAMACARE What are insurance companies going to do after the party is over?  I will not miss the $6000.00 deductible.

8.  TSA strip searches and exposure to radiation.  We need to learn from Israel.  We need to interview more 20 year old jihadists and less 80 year old white ladies.

7.  Government Corruption yes, the IRS and homeland security should be hit with RICO laws. (Racketeering influenced Corrupt Organizations) This would also include political PACs.  A financial fund that is allowed to support certain candidates.  It’s a slap in the face of a law that limits individual contributions to $2,700.00 per individual.  This was a great Idea in an attempt to keep elections from being “bought”.  Political PACs have no restrictions so “Big Money” is allowed to influence (There’s that word again) your vote.  In 2009 the head of the SEIU, Andy Stern was asked while entering the White House: “What are you here for today?” His response was: “I’m here to collect on a deal”.

6.  $3.00 Coffee – How many years did we drink coffee out of the can?  I wonder how much a shot of espresso is in Italy.  All Starbucks did was gave Folger’s a chance to increase the price of “non-premium” coffee.

5.  Political Correctness – Just look at Donald Trump and ask yourself why he’s so popular?  I think consciously hurting someone’s feelings is wrong.  Today the word Black can label you a racist.  I think you have to use the term “African American”.  So get it straight “Whitey”.

4.  Electric Cars – Sure I’m for alternative energy but don’t you have to pay for Electricity? (which has an effect on the environment as well)  Fossil fuel is like cancer.  There are companies that have too much to lose should it be done away with.  Think of the Million dollar scanners that would not get sold if something like “Aloe Vera” cured cancer?  GE would not let that happen.

3.  Millions of Taxpayer dollars being wasted on “Global Warming”. Most hydrocarbons do not come from semi-trucks on the road.  A majority comes from active volcanoes and methane comes from your dinner.  Get rid of subsidies for corn as a fuel.  Not only is it a waist of taxes but it has raised the price of meat.  Talk to me when you can explain what melted the last two Ice ages.  Let me know when China and Russia are willing to show some concern.

2.  RAP/Kanye West – Sports used to be the dream for underachievers but that required a high level of discipline such as Jerry Rice demonstrated.  Jerry Rice was every 49er rookie’s worst nightmare.  Not many athletes were as dedicated to such a strict workout routine as Rice. (Even when Jerry Rice was at the top of his game).  San Francisco paid big money for future replacements for Jerry Rice and most of them faded away out of frustration of trying to keep up with the greatest athlete in sports.

Then spewing filth to a drum machine became much easier and attractive. Rap is not poetry, it’s more of a “jingle.” It doesn’t need to be clever.  The more crude it is the better.  It started in the 20th century, but gained legitimacy when Run DMC did a version of “Walk this way” with Aerosmyth.  Soon, music was optional, then a beat was optional then it morphed into filthy loudmouth rants that degrade women and appeal to those who can’t speak a sentence with 2 syllable words.

1.  SOCIALISM & Barack Hussein Obama – The United States has been fighting a battle of socialism for 7.5 years now.  An argument can be made that it actually started in 2004.  Not only are we fighting against a socialist president, but in a Hitleresque fashion, we’re fighting socialist professors in expensive colleges.  It’s no wonder the socialist, Bernie Sanders is campaigning for free college. (You get what you pay for, or should)

The current administration embraces taking money from achievers and giving it to under-achievers. I’m not talking about social security as that was a government imposed retirement account.  It was a Ponzi scheme as it was designed to pay off 10 years after the average lifespan of the average American.  So when it started, they calculated that pay offs would be rare. (Assuming you would be dead). Socialism is a guise for communism.  The only difference is socialism gives you the illusion of freedom.  Communism uses the power of totalitarianism.  Do it or die.  By the way; Communism and Socialism have failed in every country trying to impose it.

10 THINGS I MISS FROM the 20th CENTURY

Mels

10

Fresh Milk – Milk used to be a liquid that came in a sterile bottle from the dairy.   It would mysteriously appear on your porch.

9

Mail boxes at my doorstep.  You never had to walk 2 blocks to get your mail.

8

When athletes didn’t use Performance Enhancing Drugs. (Steroids) Record books didn’t have asterisks next to the player due to congressional allegations.

7

Cars that looked like the company brand. (When a Buick looked like a Buick) Now every car looks like the bastard child of a Prius.

6

Safe Neighborhoods that weren’t gated. You could leave your doors unlocked and your kids knew that the street lights were their curfew.

5

Drive in Diners (Not junk fast food holes)  A&W Root beer Drive ins were fine.  At least the meat was cooked in the same zip code.  They had Jukeboxes and pinball machines.

4

Movies like Casablanca that didn’t require special effects and gratuitous sex.  Actors actually had to study acting.

3

Schools that educated the student; not public hangouts that passed even the dumbest of Obamas for the federal dollars.

Ronald Reagan and the Pledge of Allegiance.

1

A healthy respect for the Holy Trinity. (GD was not allowed on TV, let alone cartoons) Politicians didn’t drop F bombs.
