Notable Guitars

When I was growing up; you could tell a guitarist by his guitar.  Today, (And I’m guilty of this myself) Musicians use a different guitar for a different sound.  I think John Fogarty is probably the most guilty performer I’ve ever seen when it comes to changing guitars during a concert.

When it comes to performing live; you need a back up guitar.  If you break a string (especially if you have a NON-LOCKING Tremolo bar, your whole guitar will go out of tune.  So you need your roadie to hand you your back up and plug it in really fast.

Then you might need a guitar that is tuned to E Flat.  This is a favorite tuning for doing Blues solos.  It makes the strings softer and you can stretch them further.  The problem is, when you tune a guitar to a different key; You have to set the intonation of the guitar. (So the notes up high on the fretboard are in tune also) Then if you play Slide guitar, it’s nice to have a guitar that’s tuned to an open G or A.

So you can see how if you do a bunch of different styles how you actually would need extra guitars.  But in the 60’s and 70’s it wasn’t like that.  And in a delightfully nostalgic way, you would connect a certain guitar with that guitarist.  It was like Roy Rogers and his horse “Trigger”.  They just went together.

Johnny Winter – Gibson Firebird

Alvin Lee – “Big Red” Gibson ES-335 with special Strat pickup in between the two humbuckers.  Also multiple peace sign decals.

BB King – “Lucille” Gibson ES 350? It’s a solid body 335 that weighs a ton.

Stevie Ray Vaughan – 59 American standard Strat w/a 61  Rosewood fretboard.

Jimi Hendrix – White Fender Strat (Right handed model played handed)

Eric Clapton – “Blackie” Fender American Strat – Black Body w/ White pick guard

Brian Setzer – Gretsch Nashville 6120 with the Vintage Orange Lacquer finish. (Dice as control knobs)

Albert King – Gibson Flying “V”

Peter Frampton – “Gibson Les Paul Custom” 3 Pickup model. It was lost for 30 years and recently returned to Peter.

Steve Howe of Yes – Gibson ES-175.

And finally, Brian May of Queen.  His guitar was made by his dad and he never sold the design rights to anyone.  It has a unique sound that would define Queen’s sound (Sans Freddie’s incredible voice)

I could go on but not much further as once “Musicians” became Rock Stars, They were like Baseball players getting free gloves custom made for them by the Manufacturers.  I play (In most of my Videos) a Gold Peavey Wolfgang. (At the top) I never thought I would own anything made by Peavey.  Their Amps and P.A. systems were for garage Bands because of the affordability.  Personally I think their stuff sucks.  But when Eddie Van Halen who makes his own guitars, designed the “Wolfgang” for Peavey back in 1999; I forced myself to play it.  It’s my favorite guitar.  It always will be for my playing style.  I even saw John Fogarty playing one.

Politics and the Person

I have a burning feeling in my stomach every time I think of the Russian invasion of Berlin.  What the Red Army did was cowardly and shameful.  But what Stalin had created was a culture without morals.  It’s the only way communism can work.  To say I hate Russians would say I hate America, as what America and Great Britain did in the early months of 1945 was just as bad.  The terror bombings of Dresden under the guise of war was as hideous as the cowardly Red Army killing 11 year old German boys, then raping his mother and 8 year old sister.

These are German women and children raped and killed by the Russian Army.

It’s not Paval’s fault he was born under the leadership of Stalin. (Who probably killed Paval and his family for not wanting to be party members.

I’ve been to Tokyo.  The Japanese people are amongst the most polite people I’ve ever met.  Yet the emperor’s Army took none to very few prisoners.  Stories of children being killed with Bayonets were not just propaganda.  It did happen Yet I don’t hate the Japanese.  What was the difference between Russia and Japan?  Russia was suppose to be a liberator.

Perhaps I’m a convenient victim of growing up during the cold war and the Bay of Pigs when the USSR wanted to destroy America.

America is far from perfect.  We stole this land from the Native Americans and Mexicans who were here before us.  What right did we have to “Manifest Destiny”?  Was that any different from Hitler’s “Lebensraum”?

I can’t believe that Americans died protecting Chinese nationals in WWII.  (Remember the AVG)? The Flying Tigers?  Then 5 years after the war we are being killed in Korea by Chinese and Koreans.  Japan and Germany become loyal allies while our WWII allies became our worst nightmare. In 1961 Nikita Khrushchev pledges to bury us.  This came only 15 years after supplying Russia with food and P-39 Cobras to combat Germany.

And now Putin is at it again.  Americans have died more for other countries’ freedom than for our own.  Some speculate that had we not stopped Hitler in the late 20th century, he would have cornered the world. But I suggest that is just speculation.

There will always be someone who has an inherent need to conquer.  Unfortunately, there will always be those afraid to stand up to tyranny.  Lyndon B. Johnson once said, aggression not confronted is aggression unleashed.  I would hope that the Russian troops that go into the Ukraine would not kill the men and rape the women and children.  Hopefully Russia’s “taste of freedom” planted the seeds of morality.  Unlike the generation before.

I’m sure Putin represents the Russian people as much as Obama represents America.  79% of Americans wish they could replace Obama.  I’m sure the feelings of the Russian people do not matter to Putin.  Putin has a Gulag for those who don’t speak kindly of him.  In America, a place where free speech is supposed to be welcomed, if you say something negative about Obama, you will be harassed by government agencies like the NSA or worse, the IRS.

F-22 Stealth Raptor

We, the United States of America hold a slim advantage against Russia and China due to our technological warfare/upgrades.  We actively deploy the F-22 Raptor which is America’s first pure stealth fighter with dog-fighting capabilities.  It actually has a .30 caliber machine gun on it.  The B2 stealth aircraft is a bomber and the FA-117 is an attack/air to ground system.  If you’ve seen it, it reminds you of a top hat and very little maneuverability.  Where the F-22 can stop and do a ballet move in mid-air.

F-15 Eagle

There is no argument that the F-15 Eagle was the best fighter plane ever conceived. At the time.  The same can be said for the North American Aviation P-51 Mustang.  But as technological advancements evolve, so must our investment in protecting the homeland.  We do not want to be using bows and arrows, when our foes have six shooters, Rifles and Bullets.

f14sbig f14vf1

The 4th generation fighters, or defensive aircraft that were non-stealth were commissioned in the early 1970s.  The F-14 Tomcat was commissioned for the Navy in 1974 and decommissioned in 2006.  It would be replaced by the FA-18 Hornet which was a less expensive multirole Naval aircraft designed for aircraft carriers and was commissioned by the Navy in 1983.

The F-15 Eagle with it’s impressive score card of “0” (Zero) combat defeats was introduced into service in 1976.  In its’ almost 40 years of service, the fleet of F-15s were being phased out by the introduction of the multirole land based F-16. The F-16 was introduced in 1978 as a replacement for the F-15 because it was 10 million cheaper than the Eagle.  But the Falcon was never as good as the F-15 and it was not stealth.

All of the above were dominant “Air Superiority” aircraft until “Stealth technology” evolved.  Now these magnificent fighters have been demoted to the status of “dinosaur”.  They are large visible targets in an age where surface to air (SAM) missiles have been perfected, and now China and Russia have their own versions of a Stealth fighter.  The F-15 which is “Undefeated” would be shot out of the air and not know what hit it.

The age of Stealth Technology or “Invisible to radar” became a game changer.  The F-22, in simulated drills was going up against the F-15 outnumbered by great odds.  (Such as 2 stealth Raptors vs. 24 F-15s) and the  flew home safely.  This proved one point, the era of the radar visible aircraft was over.  The Stealth F-22 radar signature is hard to tell from that of a sea gull.

In the late 1990s, the department of defense realized this and put together the JSF Project of “Joint Strike Force” project.  The main reason they had Boeing and Lockheed compete for the largest aircraft contract in history was because, Stealth was a game changer, and the F-22 came at a price of $200,000,000 a bird.  That’s right, I said two hundred million per F-22.

After 2 years of competition, Lockheed-Martin won the contract with the F-35 Stealth Lightening II.  The estimated cost of the F-35 is 153 Million per bird.  (Versus 200 million per F-22 Raptor)  The F-35 can actually do things the F-22 cannot do.  The F-35 Lands on aircraft carriers, it hovers like a helicopter, and it breaks the sound barrier with ease.   But the F-22 is still the best best aircraft ever made 2nd only to Northrop’s YF-23 which was found to be superior to the F-22, but came in at a price of 400 Million per bird.

So just as the DOD had the F-16 and F-18 ready to replace the F-15s and F14s, the F-35 was built as a “cost-effective” alternative to the F-22 Raptor. Yet the F-35 is not a replacement for the F-22 but rather an addition to the F-22.  The F-35 will be the work horse while the F-22s are the feared nightmare of our enemy.  Unfortunately, we NEED Air Superiority to control “Space” superiority.  When the Chinese, Russians, North Koreans or Iranians start shooting down our satellites, we’ll be back to Gen 3 Jet fighters.  We need to keep developing a defensive platform that will protect our GPS Satellites.  Without those, are Gen 5 aircraft are hundred million dollar paperweights.

f-15Boneyard F18 BoneyardF16 Boneyard F14 Boneyard

As you can tell; The F-14, F-15, F16 and F-18s are already resting in peace in what are called “Boneyards”.  Or Junkyards. These fighters are reaching 40 years old.  I pity the Pilot that has to go up against a Chinese Chengduj-20 stealth fighter.  This is when the large UAV or Unmanned Aerial vehicle or “Drone” comes into the picture.  The whole theater of air superiority will change once everyone is flying a “radar invisible aircraft”.

Chengdu J-20 Red Stealth Fighter

China, under the Clinton administration, hacked into DOD files and was able to download our F-35 plans.  when they unrolled their version of the Stealth fighter (The Chengduj-20) there was a lot of finger pointing going on in the Clinton White House.  The Chinese also hacked our nuclear submarine plans.  So American pilots will no longer be able to shoot down Chinese aircraft from 90 miles away.

Sukhoi_Su-47 Sukhoi_T-50_stealt2011h

Sukhoi fighter SU41

The Russians also have their version of the Stealth fighter.  As you can see, the T-50 on the Right looks like a Raptor knock off.  The Sukhoi 47 on the left is a revolutionary stealth fighter as it has “swept forward” wings. (Making it a little faster and giving it a slight edge in maneuverability.

Dresden statue

Dresden was the capital city of Saxon in Germany.  It was of no military significance to anyone.  Not even the Third Reich.  Dresden was as much of a military threat as Couer d’ Alene , Idaho is today.  It was one of those places where you park the car, walk down main street and feel safe.  Not on February 13th 1945.

This will be a short article as writing about 2/13/1945 makes my stomach hurt, my eyes tear up and it makes me angry for the rest of the day.  The memory robs me of my “Freedom”.  There are two things that my country (The same one I fought for) did that make me less than proud to be an American.  (And please don’t take this like a stupid Michelle Obama statement) The first is the genocide of the indigenous people of North America, The Native Americans.  The 2nd was the attempted Genocide of the German people which was the Idea of Winston Churchill in cooperation with F.D.R.  I’ve provided links above if want to read the details.

In a nut shell, because I can feel my stomach knotting up already, the Red Army (Russia) had crossed into Berlin.  This Army was a lawless band of killers hell bent on revenge and immorality.  They destroyed and raped anything that moved on their way to Berlin.

Mass rapes

From The Article on Wikipedia: “Russian War Crimes” Sub category- “Mass Rapes”

Following the Red Army’s capture of Berlin in 1945, Soviet troops raped German women and girls as young as eight years old.[73] Estimates of the total number of victims range from tens of thousands to two million.[74]

After the summer of 1945, Soviet soldiers caught raping civilians were usually punished to some degree, ranging from arrest to execution.[75] The rapes continued, however, until the winter of 1947–48, when Soviet occupation authorities finally confined troops to strictly guarded posts and camps.[76]

When word that the Red Army was approaching Berlin in January of 1945; many of the German Women and Children left Berlin for the supposed safer confines of Dresden.

The Head of R.A.F. Bomber Command Arthur “Bomber” Harris is known for his sadistical war crime statement just prior to the Bombing of Dresden. “We’ll show the Russians we can win this war with our Bombers“.

But it wasn’t that simple.  They didn’t just massacre the people of Dresden.  Prior to the night of the 13th of February 1945, British fighters strafed the “German Trail of tears” from Berlin to Dresden, killing not only Women, Children and the Elderly, but even their pets.  What they couldn’t hit with their .30 caliber machine guns they hit with Bombs.

The Berlin refugees that made it to Dresden thought they were safe.  But that night 3 waves of 722 British and 527 American heavy Bombers made a ruthless Bombing raid on Dresden.  The Ordnance they were dropping were not conventional bombs, rather thermite “Fire Bombs”. The Bombs were not designed to explode a factory of building, but designed to start a “Fire Storm” which it did successfully.  It was the WWII equivalent to Napalm.

I am at the point where this article is about to turn into a hateful rant.

So I will just post the speeches given by F.D.R. and Winston Churchill in regards to the Mass Murders (War Crimes) that took place in 13 cities at the close of the war in Germany.  Then I will make my statement in closing.

“We have got to be tough with Germany and I mean the German people, not just the Nazis. You either have to castrate the German people or you have got to treat them in such a manner so they can’t just go on reproducing people who want to continue the way they have in the past.” ~ Roosevelt

No these are not Jews.  They are Germans.

FDR’s Justification for the genocidal bombing of Germany.

Operation Thunderclap was designed to kill civilians (NOT SOLDIERS) fleeing from the Red Army for their own safety because both FDR and Churchill were afraid of the so called German Race. The targeted cities of operation Clarion were nothing more than state sponsored murders. No better than Hitler’s war on the Jew. (Nuremburg was targeted because it was an “Ideological city”) Britain killed 3 times as many German civilians as U.S. Bombers. Britain hit Germany with 20 times the payload Germany hit Britain with.

You must understand that this war is not against Hitler or National Socialism,  but against the strength of the German people, which is to be smashed once and  for all, regardless of whether it is in the hands of Hitler or a Jesuit priest.” ~Winston Churchill

Yes, War is Hell and Hitler and his cronies committed the worst war crimes imaginable.  But That was Hitler, not the German people.  It brings shame to me to know that America had a part in this atrocity.  The same F.D.R. that allowed America to participate in these lawless executions, also incarcerated 110,000 Americans of Asian ethnicity on the West Coast of The United States.

All I can say to the German people is: Ich bin sehr traurig.

One thing the Vietnam war brought America was great stereo systems from the “Tokyo Exchange”. Guys coming back from “Nam” usually came back with these gigantic Akai stereo systems that they bought through the military PX/exchange. In the late 60’s and early 70’s when Rock was good, the baby boomers started working on their “tinitus” (pronounced ten-it-us, not ten- eye- tus) It’s ringing of the ears. Contrary to what the new commercial over the counter products say; tinnitus is the result of killing off the cells in your Cochlea or hearing organ in the inner ear. When you hear that ringing in your ear after you hear a gun shot, that’s tinnitus. For us musicians it’s that ringing in our ears that comes from standing in front of Marshall cabs for 3 hours.

But I digress. Back in the day (1970’s) We had really cool speakers. My personal favorites were Bose 501s. (not to big, not to small) you had to have a receiver, preferably 50 watts per channel. A Techniques turn table. A Sony cassette to cassette recorder, and of course a 12 to 24 band eq (graphic equalizer). Then on a Friday night when the new Pink Floyd album came out, you told your neighbors to shut their windows if they didn’t want to hear DSOTM at 90 decibels.

The speakers and eq really made the system. (and a good cartridge or “Needle”) OH and don’t forget the bean bag.

All we had back then was vinyl. But it was great if you recorded it on your cassette tape before your LP “record” got scratched. (damn cats) Then began the quest to improve the media. They did a great job, but in doing so, they screwed up the sound ! IT’s the SOUND DAMN IT.

I don’t give a damn about MP3 players. I don’t want to listen to music through ear plugs. Plus MP3’s rob you of 90 percent of your sound.

But I’ve jumped ahead.

Next came cassettes and really cool high end cassette players that had titanium play heads and a bitchin’ thing called “SOUND SEARCH”. A really good cassette player would fast forward and stop in between tracks. A mega/uber cool player would have a belt driven carriage. (Like a VCR if you’re familiar with those antiques) It took the cassette and gently lined up the tape so the heads played the tape at a perfect perpendicular angle.

record player

Then somewhere in the 70’s someone really really high invented the 8 track. lol…… Oh the jokes you can tell about 8 tracks. If you had an 8 track player in your car, and you wanted to hear a certain song again; you had to keep driving. You also had to make sure you had a book of matches to wedge under the tape and the player opening to line up a worn tape. lol how awful.

Then in 1979, every FM Radio station in the free world bragged about having the “digitally re-mixed” version of the White Album, or Houses of the Holy, or Elvis Costello’s My aim is True.

It’s safe to say that Consumer music sounded the best in the early 80’s. We still had the bad ass speakers and graphic EQ’s.

Fast forward 20 years. 8″ sub woofers with tweeters gave way to 2.5″ boom box speakers. Of course the price of the new CD system was only about 300 bucks. (complete with 5 spot CD carousel) The stereo system as we knew it morphed into the glorified boom box. Even the quality of the CDs went to hell. Originally CD’s would take a lickin and keep on tickin. Now they’re pieces of crap that are only good for burning wave files on to archive.

In 1998 when the personal computer became as popular as the Television; they came with MP3 players.  An Mp3 is a degraded sound file that has 1/10th of the information the full wave (.wav) file.  You could still here the song but when you do an A/B comparison, there’s no question that MP3s strip the original song of many important frequencies.

I predicted someone would invent an MP3 device. “SHAZAM” the IPOD. They even came out with IPOD sunglasses for skiing. Ya you could hear something, but you never heard DSOTM or Close to the Edge unless you’ve heard it on vinyl or early 80’s CDs through huge fricken Bose speakers.

Oh how I miss the drop of the needle.

I feel a tremendous responsibility to write this article though I am a little apprehensive. Thinking about the possibility of rising up against our own government is a frightening thing for many of us. I am not Johnny Rambo and I will be the first to admit that I do not want to die. The reason I feel compelled to write this, however, is simply because I don’t think the average American is equipped with the facts. I feel that a lot of American citizens feel like they have no choice but to surrender their guns if the government comes for them. I blame traditional media sources for this mass brainwash and I carry the responsibility of all small independent bloggers to tell the truth. So my focus today is to lay out your constitutional rights as an American, and let you decide what to do with those rights.

About a month ago I let the “democracy” word slip in a discussion with a fellow blogger. I know better. Americans have been conditioned to use this term. It’s not an accurate term and it never has been a correct term to describe our form of government. The truth is that the United States of America is a constitutional republic. This is similar to a democracy because our representatives are selected by democratic elections, but ultimately our representatives are required to work within the framework of our constitution. In other words, even if 90% of Americans want something that goes against our founding principles, they have no right to call for a violation of constitutional rights.

If you are religious you might choose to think of it this way… Say that members of your congregation decide that mass fornication is a good thing. Do they have the right to change the teachings of your God? The truth is the truth. It doesn’t matter how many people try to stray from it. Did I just compare our founders to God? In a way I did, but please note that I am not trying to insult anyone. For the purpose of the American Government our constitution and founders who wrote it are much like God is to believers. It is the law. It is indisputable.

Our founders did not want a “democracy” for they feared a true democracy was just as dangerous as a monarchy. The founders were highly educated people who were experienced in defending themselves against tyranny. They understood that the constitution could protect the people by limiting the power of anyone to work outside of it much better than a pure system of popularity. A system of checks and balances was set up to help limit corruption of government and also the potential for an “immoral majority” developing within the American People. We have forgotten in this country that we are ultimately ruled by a constitution.

Why is a democracy potentially just as dangerous as a monarchy? Let’s look at something that Benjamin Franklin said because it answers that question more fully and succinctly than I can.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. -Benjamin Franklin

Even 230+ years ago our founders were perceptive enough to realize that democracy was a dangerous form of government. How so? Because the citizens of a country can become just as corrupt as any government. We have seen evidence of this throughout history. Ask Native Americans and African-Americans if this population can become corrupt.

I think in 2014 we are seeing evidence of what Franklin was trying to tell us. Just because a majority of people may support certain ideas it does not mean that those ideas are just. In simple terms, just because most Americans love our president and voted for him, it does not mean that he has the power to go against our constitutional rights.

Next I’d like to review the text of the second amendment. It is very clear. This is the law of this land. So when Senator Feinstein or President Obama talk about taking your guns, you need to think about something. Are they honoring their sworn oath to uphold the constitution?

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

This is a pretty clear statement. The fact is that it took 232 years for the Supreme Court to even rule on this amendment because it has never been successfully challenged. In 2008 a case of Columbia v. Heller the Supreme Court ruled that a handgun ban in Washington D.C. was unconstitutional. One also has to take this into consideration. The Supreme Court supports your right to own guns. If you want to research this decision further you can start here.

For those who try to debate the spirit of the 2nd amendment, they are truly no different from people who will try to take Biblical quotes out of context to try to support their immoral decisions. The founders were very clear on the intent of the 2nd amendment. Let me share a few quick quotes here:

The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. -Thomas Jefferson

Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . the very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good. -George Washington

The Constitution shall never be construed….to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms. -Samuel Adams

I could find hundreds of quotes like these. This country was built on the right to bear arms. It was built on the rights of an individual to bear arms, regardless of what his government or neighbor happened to think. This is crystal clear. Ironically the people who voice their opinions against this right have their free speech protected by your guns. Without guns in this country, all other amendments become null and void, simply because “We the People” will lose our power of enforcement.

We need to keep this in mind as our “representatives” try to push gun bans. I don’t care if 99% of people are in support of gun bans (which is far from the case), it is a violation of our constitutional rights, plain and simple.

A constitutional republic protects the rights of the individual even when their ideas are very much in the minority. If I were the only person in America who believed in the 2nd amendment, I would still be within my rights to call upon it. You would all think I was insane and possibly celebrate if I was gunned down, but in the end I would be the only true American among us.

Our framers were very clear on this. If my government comes to take my guns, they are violating one of my constitutional rights that is covered by the 2nd amendment.

It is not my right, at that point, but my responsibility to respond in the name of liberty. What I am telling you is something that many are trying to soft sell, and many others have tried to avoid putting into print, but I am going to say it. The time for speaking in code is over.

If they come for our guns then it is our constitutional right to put them six feet under. You have the right to kill any representative of this government who tries to tread on your liberty. I am thinking about self-defense and not talking about inciting a revolution. Re-read Jefferson’s quote. He talks about a “last resort.” I am not trying to start a Revolt, I am talking about self-defense. If the day for Revolution comes, when no peaceful options exist, we may have to talk about that as well. None of us wants to think about that, but please understand that a majority can not take away your rights as an American citizen. Only you can choose to give up your rights.

Congress could pass gun ban legislation by a 90%+ margin and it just would not matter. I think some people are very unclear on this. This is the reason we have a Supreme Court, and though I do not doubt that the Supreme Court can also become corrupt, in 2008 they got it right. They supported the constitution. It does not matter what the majority supports because America is not a democracy. A constitutional republic protects the rights of every single citizen, no matter what their “elected servants” say. A majority in America only matters when the constitution is not in play.

I just wrote what every believer in the constitution wants to say, and what every constitutional blogger needs to write. The truth of the matter is that this type of speech is viewed as dangerous and radical or subversive, and it could gain me a world of trouble that I do not want. It is also the truth. To make myself clear I will tell you again. If they come for your guns it is your right to use those guns against them and to kill them. You are protected by our constitution.

Most of the articles I am reading on the subject are trying to give you clues without just coming out and saying it. I understand that because certain things in this country will get you on a list that you don’t want to be on. I may well be on that list. This blog is small and growing so I may not be there yet, but I have dreams. I also have my own list of subversives and anyone who attempts to deny my constitutional rights is on that list.

I am not the “subversive” here, it is the political representatives who are threatening to take away my inalienable rights. If they come to take my guns and I leave a few of them wounded or dead, and I somehow survive, I have zero doubt that I will spend a long time in prison and may face an execution. But I would much rather be a political prisoner than a slave.

If I go down fighting then I was not fighting to harm these human beings. I was simply defending my liberty and yours. It is self-defense and it is what our country was built on. We won our freedom in self-defense. We would not be ruled by a tyrannical government in the 1770’s and we will not be ruled in 2014 by a tyrannical government. There is no difference.

This is a case of right and wrong. As of now the 2nd amendment stands. It has never been repealed. If Feinstein or Barack have a problem with the constitution then they should be removed from office. They are not defending the constitution which they have sworn an oath to protect. It is treasonous to say the least. They would likely say the same about me, but I have the constitution, the founders, and the supreme court on my side. They only have their inflated egos.

I am not writing this to incite people. I am writing this in hopes that somehow I can make a tiny difference. I have no idea how many of my neighbors have the will to defend their constitutional rights. 2%? 20%? I am afraid that 20% is a high number, unfortunately. When push comes to shove many people may give up and submit to being ruled. I believe that our government is banking on this.

What I do know is that this country was founded by people who had balls the size of Texas and Patriotic Americans take **** off of no one, especially our own government. For evidence of that, you might research the Revolutionary War. My question is how many Patriots are left?

I would hope that our officials come to realize that, regardless of our numbers, we still exist because they are calling Patriotic Americans to action. They are making us decide if we want to die free or submit to their rule. I can not tell you where you should stand on that. I do know that it may make the difference between living a life of freedom or slavery.

You must start thinking about this because I believe that the day is coming soon and I personally believe it has already been planned. Not all conspiracy theories are hogwash. They may throw down the gauntlet soon and my suggestion is that you prepare yourself to react.

I mean no disrespect to our elected officials but they need to understand that “We the People” will not be disarmed. If they proceed then it is they that are provoking us and we will act accordingly. We are within our rights to do so.

For those who are in support of taking the guns, you need to ask yourself a very important question, and I am not just talking about the politicians, because if you support them, you have chosen your side.

Are you willing to die to take my guns?

It’s my semi-humble opinion that Obama is the most transparent corrupt public official the United States has ever seen.  The question is, will his corruption be enough to overcome the throng of welfare queens and Food stamp surfers that he’s created.  Has it become a culture yet?

History in my life time has been predictable, but not as predictable as I had expected.  Unless the level of corruption is overcome the Republican Party, barring any scandals, should prevail.

In 1973, Richard Nixon made the mistake of trying to cover up his knowledge of the Watergate break in.  He had no direct involvement in the break in, but he knew and actively participated in the cover up.  After the Watergate hearings where Erlichman, Haldeman and Dean testified against the president, it fired up the Left and even though Richard Nixon did what the Left wanted and brought an end to our involvement in Vietnam; the majority of the public still wanted Nixon’s head on a platter and blamed Republicans.  In 1976, a “Sock Monkey” with a Jack Ass Lapel pin could have won the 1976 election.  Nixon had tarnished the Republican Brand.

The majority of the country raced to whom ever the Democrats nominated.  A “Sock Monkey with a Jack Ass Lapel did win.  Jimmy Carter took our economy and tossed it like a Frisbee into the Grand Canyon.  By 1979, Iran had taken 52 Americans hostage in Tehran and Americans saw prices in stores double.  We had double digit inflation.  It was obvious that a “Sock Monkey” with an Elephant lapel pin could win.

The Majority of America went racing to what the Republicans had to offer. Fortunately, the Republicans had a serious candidate in Ronald Wilson Reagan who will go down as the greatest American President of the 20th century.  Reagan’s accomplishments are to numerous to go into at this time.  Reagan was far from a sock monkey.  He may have been a former “B” actor, but the public knew him and more importantly, trusted him.

In a fluke election in 1992, Bill Clinton became the recipient of Ross Perot’s hit job on the conservative vote.  In my opinion; Perot, another Texas businessman ran as a third party to prevent Bush 39’s re-election, which probably would have been a landslide win if you added Perot’s votes to Bush.  And Perot did steal the Republican vote.

After the Monica Lewinski scandal and Clinton’s impeachment in the house; Americans went “Jogging” to the Republican “Sock Monkey” in 2000, only this time it truly was a sock monkey with an Elephant lapel pin.  After the 9/11 attack on The Twin Towers, the President’s approval ratings were 92%.  Amongst the highest of any sitting president in history.  After the 2004 re-election, The country was tired of a Party that gotten us into 2 wars and Bushes’ approval numbers were falling like a meteor.  In 2006, we saw the same type of Congressional take over like we saw in 2010.  Lots of little sock monkeys with Jack Ass Lapel pins got elected to the Senate and the House.  One other thing, because of the Dodd/Frank bill, plenty of people who couldn’t afford homes were forced by “community organizers” to receive loans.  When the housing bubble popped the market crashed during the 2008 election making things look pretty sweet for Democrats. (And it was the Democrats under Clinton that passed this Marxist “affordable housing bill) But Bush 44 bragged about more people owning homes in 2008 than ever before.

Of course, because America felt “lied” to about weapons of Mass destruction and many people lost their homes, Any Sock Monkey with a Jack Ass Lapel pin (Or pant suit lapel pin) once again was going to beat John McCain. I might point out that I feel this was the first Presidential election that NATIONAL VOTER FRUAD WAS ALMOST UBIQUITOUS.

In 2012 I anticipated the same response as the 1979 election but again, we saw Voter Fraud on the national level.  We also saw the abuse of power with the NSA, the IRS, the ATF and we saw Obama and Clinton let 4 Americans die in Libya and lie about a YouTube Video.  If history repeats its’ self, there should be plenty of little elephant lapel pins in the Senate and house of Congress should there be a fair election in November and should this Despot not put America under Martial Law.

In 1956 Richard Berry wrote a song about a sailor who fell in love with a bar maid in Jamaica.  Being a lonely sailor out at sea wasn’t  exactly a song with an edge during the “birth of Rock and Roll”.

The song was kicked around by 3 to 4 bands on the west coast and North West but went “No where really fast”.  That is until 1963.  Under the worst of recording conditions, a band called the Kingsmen recorded what would be one of the greatest musical hoaxes of all time.  No not Milli Vanilli, in fact this Hoax was taken so seriously by that tyrant homosexual in Washington, “J. Edgar Hoover”, that the FBI spent tax payer dollars for 31 months trying to prove something that was just a bunch of prankster teenagers, “Punking” their parents.

The FBI could have been investigating the military industrial complex and the lobbyists from Bell, (Who made the parts to repair the UH-1 helicopter that sent thousands of young kids to their death at the hands of “Charlie”.  But instead, Just as “Paul is not Dead” and John Lennon did not say “I buried Paul” in Strawberry Fields, There wasn’t one dirty word in the1963 HIT SONG “LOUIE LOUIE“.

Teens in 1963 were just being rebellious teens and they floated a rumor that the song “Louie Louie” by the Kingsmen (Which had almost inaudible vocals) was a filthy song and the obscenities could be heard when you played the 45rpm at 33.3 rpms.  Mothers were outraged (which caused the sales of Louie Louie to sky rocket) and without interviewing the singer of the song or the writer, the FBI fed the song into audio analysis equipment like it was the Zapruder Film.  The F.B.I. spent 2.5 years trying to find a dirty word in Louie Louie.  So of course, bands that played high school proms would make up their own filthy lyrics and the myth became worse as it was publicized.  After 31 months, The official FBI report said: “They were unable to interpret any of the wording on the record”.  Ladies and Gentlemen I give the you the lyrics to Louie Louie

Louie, Louie (Oh baby, I said)
Me gotta go. (now, ya ya ya ya I said)
Louie, Louie(Oh baby, I said)
me gotta go.

A fine little girl, she wait for me,
me catch a ship across the sea
I sailed the ship all alone
I never think I’ll make it home

Three nights and days we sailded the sea
me think of girl constantly
On the ship, I dream she there
I smell the rose in her hair

Me see Jamaica moon above
It won’t be long me see me love.
Me take her in my arms and then
I tell her I never leave again

When I was growing up my Heroes were Elvis, Willie Mays, Kenny Stabler, Bobby Kennedy, Juan Marichal, Mike Smith (Dave Clark Five), Jimi Hendrix, and lastly Rick Derringer.

Willie was every kid’s Hero if they played Baseball.  The others, besides Elvis, Stabler, Kennedy and Jimi might be a bit obscure.  But that’s not the point.  My point is, having Heroes is not necessarily a good thing.  Joe Montana doesn’t want you running up to him on the street, or interrupting him at dinner for an autograph.  Sure, he won’t say no, but just think how rude it is.  In fact I would say don’t have Heroes because more than likely they’re not Heroes, they’re Idols.

Audie Murphy WWII Hero

True Heroes do things that do not make sense under normal circumstances.  The Firemen who raced into the Twin Towers to bring as many people out, those are Heroes. True heroes are servants.  True Heroes are people like the late Audie Murphy.  If you get a chance watch his Movie “Red Badge of Courage”. It tells the story of how a small soldier took it upon himself to rush the enemy and in doing so, he neutralized 3 Nazi Machine Gun nests.  When asked why he did it, he responded like most Heroes: “They were killing my friends.  I had to stop them”.  That’s a HERO.

Sergeant Alvin York WWI Hero

Alvin York also known as “Sergeant York” was the WWI American that captured a whole squad of the Enemy and marched them back to his lines single handedly.  Again, York, who tried to get out of the draft because he was an “Objector” and found it against his Christian beliefs to kill.  When he was awarded the the Congressional Medal of Honor he was ask how an objector could be a war hero.  Again he responded: “They were killing us and I had to do something”.  Most true Heroes are “Reluctant Heroes”.

Role models are another thing.  In music, if you’re a serious player, you have admiration for many professional players.  When you become a professional, you can hear the influences of your role models.  But Heroes? No.  I’ve had the fortune and misfortune of meeting many of my Hero/role models.  Many I was able to talk to as one musician to another.  Some acted like it was an honor for me to be in the same room with them. (Did I say that right)?  I don’t want to drop names, but I will say that Neil Young, Edgar Winter and in spite of  what a grouchy old bastard he comes across to the press; Dick Dale (The King of Surf Guitar) is one of the nicest mentors I’ve ever met.

I guess what I’m trying to say is: “Don’t put Hero status on anyone”.  Like I said above, most true Heroes are reluctant Heroes, they just know what has to be done and they do it out of courage and/or compassion.  Most Heroes don’t enjoy being Heroes.  The father that stays in a miserable marriage for the “Sake of the Kids”, I consider a hero.  Especially if he gives up a better woman and perhaps a better paying job.

Idols, on the other hand, are merely a disappointment waiting to happen.  I don’t know how many times Willie Mays struck out with the bases loaded. Jimi Hendrix gave me the foundation for most of my solos, but a hero?  No, he died choking on his own vomit.  Kenny Stabler?  He was quoted in 1977 as saying he beat Fran Tarkenton and the Vikings in the Super Bowl with a Hangover.

How come Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Sammy are still not in the Hall of fame?  They were Baseball fans’ biggest heroes.  If not for that damn HGH.  They weren’t heroes, they were biologically engineered freaks.  Even without the steroid scandals, they were merely entertainers.

Hero worship is Idolatry.  It’s not good for you and it is not fair to the person you are calling a Hero.  Sure it may be flattering to “Your Hero” at first, but once you realize they’re just flesh and blood humans that are unable to walk on water, they become just another person who will die someday.  I’m sorry to ruin your fantasies.
