Your Unique Happiness

Your own unique

Happiness

Ace Andres Avatarsmaller

Define happiness!  Is it a new car? Is it fame, wealth, sex, peace of mind? Is it having fun? Maybe it’s getting your boss off of your back. Maybe it’s having a mistress to take your mind off of your miserable marriage. Maybe it’s getting that promotion and the recognition that comes with it. Ya think?

Ferrari

To quote the writer of the book of Ecclesiastes: they’re “All Vanities”.

Vanity is defined by Webster’s dictionary as:

  1. The quality or condition      of being vain.
  2. Excessive pride in one’s      appearance orAccomplishments
  3. Conceit. See Synonyms at      conceit.

You see King Solomon (the probable writer of the Hebrew Old Testament book Ecclesiastes) had wealth and fame beyond yours or my imagination.  In his book he talks about what he did to try to find meaning in the physical life. He writes about his mansions, money, concubines (mistresses/sex partners) achievements and referred to them all as “Vanities“. He believed that his only real purpose for being on this earth was to have a close relationship with God.

I agree, but feel Solomon’s summary was incomplete. I believe that God put us here with a unique and individual purpose. I have come to believe that we are here to experience happiness and to become.  (Become what)?  To become what only we can be.

Einstein once said, “Everybody is a genius at something”. “Is it fair to judge a fish by his ability to climb a tree, he’ll go on thru life thinking he’s a failure”.

So what are we here for? To find that unique person that you were meant to be and become it. What is that perfect complete person?  It’s the person you’ve become once you’ve found a way to combine your burning passion, special talent and needs. What then is happiness? It’s ANYTHING you DO that takes you in the direction of that goal. Just knowing who that potential person is will bring you happiness.

Matthew Kelly calls it the “best version of you“.

This life is oh so short. Most of us will live less than 100 years. From the day we’re born, we start our journey towards death. We wander aimlessly thru life worrying about needs. So we get meaningless jobs that pay us money. Life amounts to a simple equation for most of us:

Life = Time/work x (Money – expenses)

Your life is simple. Your focus is on survival. You convert time into money and give it to others so you can have a roof over your head, food in the fridge and strings for your guitar. (Or perhaps wheels on your car etc….)

Then you wake up one day in intensive care and wonder where your life went. But every breath you take of every second of every day is a chance to start your life over.

I subscribe to a different belief structure:

1. Discover what your God given talent is. (Your inner voice) We all have one. Someone in your life has told you that you are great at something.  It’s something you do that makes you lose track of the time.

2. Review your needs. Rent/mortgage food etc……

3. List the opportunities in that field and find a way to combine them all so you can work in a field you love and get paid for it.

Stevie Ray Vaughan, the legendary blues guitarist, was working at a burger stand. One night he was told to clean the grease vats. He was standing on top of a huge 50 gallon barrel of grease (from the deep fat fryers) when the lid broke and Stevie fell into the barrel of grease up to his armpits. He said: “This is enough of this shit I’m gonna play guitar for a living”.  Sure, Stevie Ray went without for a long time, yet eventually became known as one of the world’s greatest Blues masters.

If you become the person God wants you to become. You are then doing God’s will. And God didn’t design everyone to be missionaries or preachers or nuns or elders. But he did give you a special blessing.  My biggest fear in Life is to be standing at the Pearly Gates and have to answer why I neglected the special endowments God blessed me with.  I will be quick to plead ignorance then say I tried.

Find out who you were meant to become. Work on becoming that person. Then know happiness.

“I have a Pen and a phone” ~ King Obama

I have a Pen and I have a phone. ~ King Obama

Spoken like the true despot that he is.  Obama once again saying he will abuse his executive orders to pass more bills usurping Congress.

Nixon DD-SC-93-04622 Tyrant

The most important thing Americans can do if they do anything substantial in 2014 is vote Harry Reid and the Democrats out of Congress.  Conservatives need to assume the power of Impeachment.  The reason Obama can spend us into destruction and have scandal after scandal with impunity, is because he can act with impunity.  Harry Reid is the best senator money can buy.  No Impeachment will make it past the house.

Think about it, Nixon in March of 1973 was facing sure Impeachment for his role in the bungled break-in at the Watergate hotel, resulting in Nixon being part of a cover up.  Nixon was being charged with obstruction of justice and abuse of power.  Important to note; Nobody died.  This is pretty damn tame compared to the death of Brian Terry and Ambassador Stevens along with three brave seals who tried to save ambassador Stevens.

Fast Forward to August of 1998.  Bill Clinton was Impeached by the house, for a Blow Job resulting in the cover up (Once again)  He was hit with 4 petty charges that I felt did more harm to the Republican Party than Bill Clinton and again, nowhere near the atrocities this president has gotten away with.

The answer is simple.  The Republican Party needs to find out who the dividers in the party are and work out their issues.  It’s my belief that we have people from the progressive party posing as Tea Party extremists who are going to try and run another witch.

The 2014 Mid-term elections are the 2nd most important elections in this decade.  I would advise conservatives who are involved with the election process to be hyper vigilant when it comes to voter fraud.  I hope (And pray) that the fix is not already in.  One can only wonder how many dead democrats will be voting absentee.  When politically neutral institutions like the IRS, GSA, NSA and DOJ are targeting conservatives, the ballot box will become an afterthought.  If  Republicans cannot gain the Senate or even worse lose the house; the Tree of Liberty may end up being watered with the blood of patriots.

HAS THE TEA PARTY BEEN INFILTRATED?

HAVE THE DEMOCRATS COVERTLY INFILTRATED

THE TEA PARTY?

TEA

Has the tea party become a tool of the LEFT?  The concept of a “Tea Party” was never one built on being a political power; but rather one of conservative principles.  It was never supposed to be a voting constituency.

It was a bunch of people with flags and lawn chairs that had one issue in common.  They were opposed to excessive Government spending.  The Media had no Idea how to handle this.  So they fell back on typical liberal media practices.  They demonized middle class America.  Then once this “Movement” gained traction future politicians attempted to champion this group of discontents.  Enter Sarah Palin et al.

In typical communist fashion, there were those who decided to put thoughts of grandeur into the minds of certain leaders of this movement. (Which there were not supposed to be)  Just as Communist China divided the United States during the Vietnam War, the “Tea Party” has been infiltrated in an attempt to divide the Republican Party.

Those of you in the Tea Party know that the T-Party is a movement, not a political party.  It was started as a conservative movement.  There is no T-party Caucus.  Sure some candidates were elected who were championed by those of the movement.  Then there was money to be made by those who attempted to champion the Tea Party and even worse, they have attempted to manipulate the conservative vote.  The use of name calling (RINO) is very indicative of the Left.  Which leads me to believe that the movement was infiltrated and used to divide the Republican Party

Just remember, The Tea Party is a movement.  A divided house cannot stand

Obama using stolen SSN Number on 2009 Tax returns?

judge-jessica

Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander

Attorney Orley Taitz who filed a law suit in 2009 seeking the Obama Birth certificate claims Obama is using the stolen Social Security Number of CT resident Harry Bounel on his 2009 Tax returns, only this time it looks like she’s going to get some traction as Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander  has ruled to give Taitz “an opportunity to file a second amended complaint and add allegations of SSA not doing a proper search and withholding records.”

God be with Ms. Taitz.  This administration, unlike the Nixon administration, makes people disappear. “It’s the Chicago way” Just ask Andrew Breitbart.

Taitz’s press release

Judge Hollander in Maryland gives Attorney Orly Taitz 21 days to file a second amended complaint and add allegations in regards to an improper withholding by the Social Security Administration of records   of Harry Bounel, whose Social security number is being illegally used by Barack Obama. When Taitz filed the complaint, SSA did not respond at all. After the law suit was filed, SSA responded by fraudulently claiming that the records were not found. Taitz responded that this is a fraudulent assertion, since the records were found before and denied to another petitioner due to privacy concerns, however Social Security has no right to claim privacy as according to their own 120 year rule they have a duty to release the records. The judge stated that the plaintiff Taitz might be correct, however at this time she cannot rule in her favor as her original complaint was filed before SSA responded, so the judge gave Taitz an opportunity to refile a second amended complaint and add new allegations, stating the SSA responded but improperly hidden the records . This is a great development. This all but assures that the judge will order the SSA to release the SS-5, Social Security application of resident of CT, Harrison (Harry) Bounel, whose CT SSN 042-68-4425 was stolen by Obama and used in Obama’s 2009 tax returns, which initially were posted on WhiteHouse.gov without proper redaction, without flattening of the file.

Monogamy

Monogamy vs. Polyamory

gold black2

With all due respect to those of this community that practice “polyamory”, the principles of infidelity in a two person relationship is flawed.  When I say a two person relationship, I mean two people that have come together under the law, come together under their god and come together under the same roof.Going outside of the relationship for your intimate needs lessons your relationship because you’re not getting the most out of what that relationship has to offer. People usually cannot see the beauty of what their partner has to offer because they’re more concerned with what their own personal needs are or that their partner doesn’t know what pleases them. (Me, me, me)

That’s a lack of communication and respect.

If you are in a conventional two person relationship, and your S.O. wants to go outside the relationship for things that were reasons for entering the exclusive two person relationship, eventually there will come a time when one or the other says: “What’s the point of being trapped in this fake relationship”?

What’s the point of living with the same person, when you’re dining and sleeping with someone else? What’s the point of sharing financial responsibilities if one party is spending the disposable income on entertaining someone outside the circle of intimacy?

Why not face reality; divorce and be free to see as many people as wish as often as you wish?

The reason is:

Deep down inside; we want someone that we trust to be there.  We want someone who will race to the emergency room when all hell has broken loose. We know that two people that “cleave together” live longer than those who live alone and use other people for social stimulation. We know that the bond between two humans is so great than when someone in an LTR dies, the survivor usually follows 2 to 6years later.

We know that when you live with someone long enough and are truthful and respecting of them, it makes you a better person. We learn more from exclusive relationships about ourselves if we’re open minded enough to look inward and see what it is we’re doing or not doing.

Anyone can put their best foot forward in a date. But this person could be someone entirely different 18 months later.

Speaking as a musician; I’ve dated more people than I can remember. Seriously!  Strangers have come up to me claiming to have slept with me years ago. It’s embarassing and sad to a point.

The Iconic Face of Evil

 BM  Feuhrer  Mao stalin

The following is a letter I sent to Brad Meltzer of BM Decoded.  In reference to him referring to Adolf Hitler as “The most Evil Man in History”.

Adolf Hitler was far from (To quote your episode)”The most evil man in history”. I agree Himmler was very sinister and Hitler was a sociopath with an Oedipus complex. His roots do not differ much from another community organizer who came to power with a messianic image.

Tyrant

Yet the holocaust as tragic as it was only took the lives of 6 million Jews and so called undesirables. (6 Million is a mutually accepted figure by historians) This was indeed an act of genocide.  Yet how can you dismiss the 15 million Russians executed, and another 10 to 15 million Ukrainians killed by famine all at the hands of Joseph Stalin,  A man who murdered 22,000 Polish officers in the Katyn forest and tried to blame it on his partner at the time Adolf Hitler. Stalin was singly responsible for the death of over 35 Million Russians and the starvation of another 9 Million German P.O.W.s of the 10 million Germans who surrendered.

Finally Mao Zedong.  One number 50,000,000 starved to death. (Conservative estimate. Some put it at 80 Million)
Why is Hitler the “Iconic face of Evil” ? Why do Stalin and Mao get a pass?  Is it their politics?  Are you a left wing Socialist/Communist leaning producer?  Just answer that one question. Why is Hitler your choice for the Iconic face of Evil when those in the Allied forces went on to kill a combined 85 Million innocent people.
Sincerely,
Ace
PS. Please feel free to fact check my numbers. I believe them to be conservative numbers.  Let me add one more fact.  Why isn’t Stalin the Iconic face of Evil by the simple command of allowing his red Army to Rape and Kill 1.5 to 2 million innocent German women and children in Berlin in 1945?  I believe Stalin’s exact quote was: “Tell the troops to enjoy themselves”. No, Hitler was an awful dictatorial Psychotic despot madman surrounded by evil buffoons.  But the acts of Rape, Murder and Starvation by Stalin or Mao make Hitler look like a 3rd rate thug who knocks over Bodegas.  Far from the “Iconic face of Evil” in all of history.
I could have mentioned Napoleon, Atilla and other Evil killers, but Chairman Mao, who is a favorite of this administration, and Joseph Stalin are the real faces of Evil in the History of mankind.  Even more so because they killed their own people.

Technology giveth; Technology taketh away!

Where has all the talent gone?

glenn-miller

In the early 20th century, Big Bands created the music industry as a business.  The Giants like Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey were amongst the first to get paid “Millions” in royalties.  They received nothing by today’s standards (Or yesterday’s) but compared to their Vaudeville predecessors, they kicked down the door of the entertainment industry.

MTV-man-on-moon

Radio and Television had given birth to media.  Technology created the Rock Star and the Movie Star.  Eventually Technology would kill the Rock Star and the Media.  The Bugles who launched MTV with the song “Video Killed the Radio Star” didn’t realize that eventually the Video Star would kill the real musician.  An engineer took geological survey equipment and took the software used to map the contour of the subterranean structures.  This same technology was used to create a piece of software that would map ones voice and contour it to the proper key of the song.  So all a person needed was a set of vocal cords and not necessarily a great voice.  The device is called auto-tune.  Hollywood, with its’ 60 year old formula was in heaven.  It could take a male or female super-model and make them sound like Smokey Robinson or Barbara Streisand.

In fact, in 1985, Todd Rundgren, an artist who does not need an auto-tune device, made a mockery out of the Music industry by releasing an album called “A Cappella”.  Its’ working title was: “Me and my big mouth”.  Todd used a computer keyboard which was famous at the time called an “Emulator” (Today it’s known as a sampler).  The Album featured one artist and no instruments.  Todd Rundgren.  But his voice is synthesized in the emulator to sound like a drum set, a bass, a horn section and a Hammond B-3 organ.  Yet there are no instruments on the album. NONE! He actually had a hit with this experiment.

If you combine this new monster with the morals of Hollywood, you can easily see how the Millie Vanillie scandal could work.   But this could only work as long as the gate keepers and key masters existed in Hollywood.  Without the so called “Artist & Repertoire agents running the show (And sometimes the mob) you would have Chaos.  Auto-tune brought an end to the careers of great yet unattractive artists like Joe Jackson.  They for all intents and purposes will never see the cover of a Rock poster again.

Enter the PC/Internet in the 1990s.

Although all of my albums were recorded in a studio with analogue/digital machines and real musicians,(The old school way) the program “Pro-tools” came out and anyone with a slight bit of computer savvy, a touch of engineering skills and a garage band could release an album.  What the now “digital artist” lacked was the promotional financial backing.  I got in just as promoters and agents started asking for booking fees.  In other words, an artist needed a financial backer to split the cost of the signs, newspaper articles and even the band’s bar tab.

As Joe so eloquently said; there’s no longer any money in records for the pure artist.  With today’s technology you can spend 10,000 dollars making an album, have one person from Asia buy it and it’s on download sites all over the world that you or your music company haven’t contracted with.  Does anyone remember “Napster”?

So musicians are back to the pre-Big Band days.  You will only make money if you can create a business, gain a following and sell merchandise.  The music is just a loss leader (as they say in business).  Yet as I write this, there are garage bands that are legends in their mom’s garage and somewhere at this very moment, some band is making $200.00 a night, playing Mustang Sally and Brick house.  Will there ever be another “Frampton Comes Alive” album? No.  Will there ever be another outdoor Coliseum tour again? No!  Will there ever be another hit song as big as the “Macarena”?  Hell No.

TELEVISION WAS NOT EXEMPT EITHER

Enter “REALITY” TV.  It started (Ironically) about the same time the music industry took a hit.  In the mid-eighties, Sony came out with the “Camcorder”.  It was a portable analogue (or semi-portable at the time) Home movie camera designed to create a video you could play on the new invention called the “Video Cassette Recorder”.  Again, technology became more advanced and video cameras became a toy everyone could play with.  Some took the use of the video camera past the purpose of vacations and little Johnny’s first steps and started making silly videos of people hurting themselves (Jack Ass).  Reality TV was born.

Judge Judy

Reality TV had always existed in the form of game shows, court shows (Divorce court) and talk shows.  Phil Donohue and Oprah were two of the more successful pioneers which eventually lead to The Jerry Springer show where violence was expected.  In the late 1990s, everyone had a talk show.  It became a competition to see who could get the closest to the edge.  Jenny Jones went over the edge and ended up on the witness stand.  Her episode on secret lovers united a gay waiter with a homophobic guest.  The guest felt nationally humiliated and took the waiter’s life with a shot gun after the show.  This event weeded out a lot of the talk show hosts whom no one can remember.

 Real_World

What Hollywood producers found was a simple principle.  People enjoyed watching talentless people.  Reality TV as a genre was born in the 90s with “The Real World”.  Then an amazing phenomenon occurred in 2000, “Survivor “ aired and received huge ratings.  The reality genre killed the prime time drama show as we knew it.  Reality TV gave the audience a chance to “interact” with the show and use their computers to vote.  Thus we saw mega hits like American Idol,  and eventually, Duck Dynasty.

Duck Dynasty Season 3

Think about it.  Producers no longer had to pay actors.  They no longer had to pay writers on their staff.  And the worst part, reality TV is everywhere.  In fact, just as Napster and new recording technology killed the music Industry, Reality TV and YouTube did away with police dramas, variety shows, Action dramas like Law and Order and 24 and pretty much TV scheduling as we knew it.  Why? How? The answer is and has always been the bottom line.  It’s much cheaper to produce a reality show.

I don’t think the degradation of talent will stop until we start televising gladiators actually killing each other or being eaten by lions during prime time. (News at eleven)

BTW, in the late 1980s and predominantly in 2002, legal drug labs started creating anabolic steroids which are now known as PEBs or Performance Enhancing Drugs.  Again, it’s Ironic that as technology was taking down entertainment talent, Sport talent was no exception.  Steroids have disappointed sports fans for the last 25 years.  Pretty much the same time the VCR came out.

THINGS THAT REALLY MATTER

THERE ARE THINGS THAT MATTER ~ Charles Krauthammer

fire

I don’t know if today’s indoctrinated public school systems focuse on helping the student find his or her inner voice. (Occupational direction and passion)  In the 60s we had elementary school classes like Arts and crafts.  We had band class or Music class.  You could take “shop” class and learn how to hammer a nail and “Heaven Forbid” use a table saw.

 Elvis

I was a first grader when Elvis had just gotten out of the Army.  I was born the year Elvis released “Heartbreak Hotel”, “I want you.  I need You, I love you”, “Love Me Tender” “Hound Dog” and “Don’t be Cruel”.  Needless to say; it was a good year for the kid from Tupelo Mississippi.

 Follow that Dream

In 1962, Elvis filmed the movie: “Follow That Dream”.  The record was the first serious 45 RPM recording I ever owned. (Alvin and the Chipmunks not withstanding) I can’t recall how many times I saw the movie on the silver screen as my parents used the El Rey Theatre as a baby sitter.  (Pretty much the way parents today use DVDs and Ipads, in an Orwellian fashion, to keep their toddlers from getting into trouble)  So in 1st grade (Or grade 1)  when each child had to stand up and tell the class what they wanted to be when they grew up; the girls said: “nurses” and the boys had a little more latitude as some said: “Policemen”, some said: “Firemen”, some said: “Soldiers” and since the space race was popular at the time, some said: “Astronauts”.  In my class, one little wise ass kid (Me) stood up and said: “I want to be like Elvis Presley”.

They use to have musical aptitude tests in 1st grade elementary schools.  I excelled at almost every instrument I picked up.  So they stuck an alto Sax in my hand and said: “You’re going to be a Sax player”.  They didn’t have the guitar as a choice way back then.  They were all marching band instruments.  So from 1962 to 1967, I was well known as a child musical prodigy.  I even wrote a song at the age of nine that got published in the town newspaper.  I savored the attention.  Then later that summer my mother died.  I had what is now described as a major paradigm shift.  Life as I knew it ended. Overnight my life went from being one of the “Partridge Family” to being Eddie Corbett from “The courtship of Eddie’s father”.

 candlestick60

That same year my father took me to Candlestick Park in South San Francisco to see my first Major League Baseball game.  It was truly a magical treat as I got to do something special with my father and I got to see the great “Willie Mays”.   Move over Elvis, there was something new I admired in my life and a whole new field of endeavor called Baseball.  If you’ve never had the experience to see a Major League Baseball game, in the 60s, you walked up rather dark and damp ramps outside of the stadium until you got to your section.  Then you opened these double doors and one would expect to see St. Peter standing there as the sun reflecting the outfield grass blinded you in a very cinematic fashion.  It’s an experience you will never forget, especially if you’re a youngster.

 Willie Mays February 1970

Then I heard about a thing called little league.  Now they have T-ball for the little ones so they don’t get a boo boo on their hands.  I saved up 7 books of “Blue Chip” stamps and got my first Spalding Baseball glove.  Somehow, (a situation that was out of my hands) my musical performing fell off the face of the earth.  Baseball, the Theatre and a crappy inexpensive apartment with a black and white television was where I spent most of my life.

Magee_Park

I also happened to live next door to Congressman John J. McFall.  He was a Democrat in the House of Representatives.  He let me work in his campaign office when I was 12 years old and I hoped he would let me meet Robert Kennedy.  June of that summer, a Jordanian named Sirhan Sirhan would end that dream.  In 1972 I was an actual team leader for the McGovern campaign.  (I was a good useful Idiot) Then in 1982 I met Ronald Reagan on Sutter Street in San Francisco. Reagan

So from 1968 until now, I’ve been a Political activist.  I was a democrat until 1979.  That’s when I saw what a mess Carter had gotten the country into, and I also started paying Taxes.  I can’t say that I am passionate about politics, but like Charles Krauthammer recently said to Bret Baier, and something I’ve been telling those who don’t know anything about politics: “It doesn’t matter if you like or dislike politics, it’s like air.  It affects you whether or not you like it”.  Some of us who know the nuances of politics realize how damn dangerous those elected can be.  Just ask a Jew who was in Warsaw, Poland in 1940.  Hell; ask a German national who was forced to be a Nazi in 1933 to 1945.  Ask a Chinese nationalist who refused to join the Communist party in the 50s. (If you can find one alive) Ask someone who lost a relative in the Russian revolution how important politics is.

Is Politics more important than your Dreams?

That’s a question I would love to ask Charles Krauthammer.  My true passion is music.  I have a flame in my soul that transforms me when you put a guitar in my hand.   I even played on international TV in 2010.

I (like Charles) love baseball and I know the “Inside Baseball” moves as well as most MLB managers.  I think I could even be a general manager. (The guy who hires players) I’ve even played American Legion ball in a minor league baseball stadium.  I think a lot of men who needed an escape from reality have used baseball or sports in general to pass the hours and days and eventually a lifetime.

When it comes down to what truly matters, what good is your favorite team if Obama outlaws sports?  What good is music if your lyrics are censored like in Russia or China?  The older we get, the more you lose your fast hands.  The old we get, the more immature the players seem.

Yet the older we get, the more lethal our politicians become.

gun control

We are here for four primary reasons.  We need to experience love.  We need to learn, not just what you’re taught in school but we need to grow spiritually.  We need to live.  You will define what “living” means. And finally we will leave a legacy.  When we die, all we take with us are our memories (Lady and the Tramp) one memory will be how we left our country for our children or the next generation.  Up until Obama, we’ve always had generations that had it better than their parents.  I’m afraid all of those who said: “I’m not interested in politics” have become useful Idiots to the regime that is destroying the future of this country.
