Pro-Choice ~ it sounds so simple and it is.

But killing the unborn is not a choice, rather an intention.

A woman and an unborn heartbeat.  That’s the situation.  The “Choice” is to have a baby or kill the unborn.  I won’t sugar coat it.  It certainly is no longer a woman’s choice as to what to do with her body.

That choice was forfeited weeks, maybe months ago.

It was a choice the woman made often in the throes of passion.  That is when the woman had a choice.  In some (I use the term loosely) situations, the pregnancy was not a result of responsible choice.  My first child was conceived with an IUD.  Some women unfortunately are victims of non-consensual sex. (rape).

These instances are rare and in such cases the woman’s choice has been taken from her.  Is this the fault of the unborn child?

I think the irresponsible have done a successful job of making abortion about life or death being a woman’s choice.  It’s not.  Her choice was whether or not to engage in a sexual act with someone they were not willing to have a baby with.  The primary reason for sex is “procreation”.  To be fruitful and multiply.  The joy we get from having sex is programmed from the “thought” of procreation.  Nothing is more joyful than giving physical life to a spiritual being.

Without it, it’s just friction and negative pressure.

Our bodies were created with neural programs.  Thirst tells us we’re dehydrated.  Weakness and stomach pains tell us we need to eat. Sweat, clamminess and chest pains means get to an emergency room. Lust is a program that can lead to procreation.  But our culture has turned lust into “mutual masturbation”.  The young people in our country refer to the act of sex as “Hooking up”.  Sounds romantic n’est–ce pas?  I still prefer: “Making Love”.

Did you know that this neural programming is so sensitive it can make you aware of danger when you are not consciously looking out for it?  When you stop what you are doing because you heard a sound or smelled something out of the ordinary, we assume what is called the “Kruk” position.  When you hear something that catches your attention, you will automatically say: “Shish” then project your chin forward in a “ready” position. Your eyes may scan left and right, and you will stand as tall as you can, but this is something we all do as a result of a “built in” neurological response.  The same is true in the case of lust.  Men may often assume an erection.  They will go so far as to emit a hormone in their sweat that will attract the opposite sex.  It is designed for the purpose of PROCREATION.  Our bodies were never meant to be used as amusement park rides.

Screen-Shot

So how does killing a heartbeat within a uterus become a legal choice, while spanking that same heartbeat 18 months later is considered child abuse?  Is this a woman’s “War on Children”?  Not at all.  A woman had a choice not to start the pregnancy process when she “Chose” to use her body as a sperm receptacle. (disregarding the unintended yet primary consequences).

Let me leave you with this one question.  If a woman has the choice to pick up a loaded hand gun and aim it at her head; we would agree it is her choice to pull the trigger.

Should the bullet be blamed for her death?

Minister Dies and comes to

As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of NDERF or the Near Death Experience Foundation.  Their URL is http://www.NDERF.org

This is a submission from a minister who died of a heart attack after shoveling Snow:

I was having a heart attack after shoveling snow. My wife drove me to the hospital. The doctor said I was having ‘a really good heart attack’ not long before I blacked out at the time of my arrest. There was a brief darkness, a sensation of going through a dark void of some sort then I was in another place. I saw dogs playing in a grass-covered field and I was with them. I have always loved dogs. I think they were dogs that I once had as an adult or child. I’m a minister and I don’t really believe ‘all dogs go to heaven’ but there they were!

Then I was in a different place. It was bright or red? Then there was an extremely bright light, like a vertical column of light.  But it was much more than light, like a pillar of pure energy.  It was sparking, sparkling, and much, much brighter and whiter than any sun. I floated over near it. I don’t know if I wanted to or not, but I was about 6 inches from it. It was not hot or cold, just pure white energy. I was face-to-face with whatever this was. I took it to be the pure divine presence of God.

I felt if I touched it, that would NOT BE GOOD. But I felt total peace and that God was going to take care of everything, take care or me, and take care of my family. There was a low rumbling going throughout everything, like the lowest note on an organ.  It was a very holy sound.  The sound wasn’t intimidating as in ‘scary’ but it was intimidating as in totally awesome and awe inspiring; maybe coming from the pillar? Then I realized, ‘If I am here, I am either dead or dying!’ So I said a prayer, ‘Please send me back! Can I go back?  If there is any way, please send me back!”

The next thing I felt was the paddles shocking me.  ‘Ow!’ Those things hurt! I remember looking up at the doctor and he looked at the paddles like, ‘Wow! They worked!’ I did not know but they had shocked me 15 to 20 times or so in the past 40 minutes. They were getting ready to call my time of death.  The doctor had come out several times and told my wife absolutely nothing was working and there was no response to anything.  When they tried one last time that is when I came to. They transported me to another hospital by helicopter where I arrested two more times on the flight.

They put a big stent in my heart in the left anterior descending artery.  They shocked me yet again to start the heart up and it started. The best hope they held out to my wife was that I would have significant organ damage, almost certainly significant brain damage, and that I would likely live out the rest of my days in a nursing home.

When I work up, I was in the cooling blankets.  As soon as I could move again I started talking and telling jokes. My family and my wife couldn’t believe it. A year later the only damage they have found is a EF of 35% for my heart, but after running 5 kilometer races for several years, it is up to 40%.  I hope one day to get it up to 50% again which is a normal reading. Soon after my experience, I noticed light was too bright, especially sunlight. Sounds were too much also. That has continued to get worse the past several years to the point where this winter with the sun on the snow, I almost could not even look at it without a LOT of discomfort.

AN INTERVIEW WITH JESUS

AN INTERVIEW WITH JESUS

I was daydreaming of what it would be like if I got to sit across from Jesus, the Christ on Superbowl Sunday and interview Him.  The following were my thoughts.

Ace: Jesus, thank you for letting me talk to you.

Jesus: Anytime, anywhere.  I’m always there.

Ace: Let me get this right; You’re 1/3 of the Holy Trinity, correct?

Jesus: That’s what you say.

Ace: All I know is what I’ve read from the Holy Bible.

Jesus: Yes I’ve heard of this collection of writings.

Ace: Did you ask that such a book be written about You, the Holy Spirit and your Father?

Jesus: Does it say I did?

Ace: Not that I can recall.

Jesus: I told my followers to go into all the world teaching and baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Ace: Will we go to Hell if we don’t?

Jesus: Do you think you should?

Ace: You died and were without a heartbeat for 3 days, then you came back to life and reports say that hundreds saw you after you were killed on the cross.

Jesus: Hey, better Me than you. Right?  It was the plan from the beginning.

Ace: You told Peter that you could call on more than 12 legions of Angels and wipe out the Roman Army.  Why didn’t you?

Jesus: I came to bring peace and not war.  The Father wants those who love him on faith, not fear.  He wants you to be your best, not a blob of molecules with an electrical charge.

Ace: Why can’t we see the Father?

Jesus: He’s there. Can you see the wind?  You know it’s there.  You can see the results of it, but you can’t see it, can you?

Ace: Are all humans created equal?

Jesus: Where did you read that? You are all the Father’s children whom he love’s very much.

Ace: Our forefathers wrote that in a document we call the “Declaration of Independence”.

Jesus: Did they die for your sins?

Ace: Not that I can recall.

Jesus: All men were created with free will.

Ace: Why is there Evil in the world?

Jesus: Ask Adam.

Ace: Why did you even let Adam near the tree with the fruit of knowledge?

Jesus: We want human spirits to be able to use their free will. We didn’t want Stepford humans.

Ace: You’ve seen that movie, The Stepford Wives?

Jesus: I see everything.

Ace: What were your thoughts?

Jesus: Meh…

Ace: Satan is so much more powerful than humans, how is the common man to face such a cleaver and evil opponent?

Jesus: You have Me, the Father and the Holy Spirit.  That’s 3 against 1. You’re not alone.

Ace: Why do bad things happen to good people?

Jesus: It’s the price of free will.

Ace: Can I get to heaven if I don’t repent of my sinful ways, confess God is the one true God, ask for forgiveness and be baptized?

Jesus: The Father loves Our creation and can let whomever He wants into Paradise.  But if you prefer to make up your own rules just remember, that’s your decision.

Ace: So why do so many “religions” teach that salvation requires this, this, and that to get into heaven?

Jesus: Ace, I didn’t come here to start religions.  I came to offer humans a way.  I died in the flesh so that you don’t have to die in the afterlilfe.  I didn’t write a book called “Salvation for Dummies”.  I didn’t write any books at all.  The only thing I wrote was in the dirt.  You have all you need to get to heaven.  I promised it to the 12 and those who heard it from the 12.  Any more questions?

Ace: Just one.  Is Bill O’Reilly a saint or a pinhead?

Jesus: Both.  He’s a pinhead because he only allows his guests so much “free will” when it comes to answering his questions. Yet we all love him anyway.

Ace: What makes him a saint?

Jesus: He puts up with Geraldo.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN ?

First let me say that if Science cannot explain something, that does not disprove it.  It exposes the ignorance of Science.

I have been having an issue I’m sure many of you might be experiencing.  Or maybe, we’re just noticing this more but my investigations tell me the odds of “noticing” this is pretty rare.

I’ve been noticing on my digital clocks the times of 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, 10:10, 11:11 and occasionally 12:12.  So, I first wrote this off as my R.A.S. or reticular activating system.  How can I explain the R.A. S.?  When you buy a new car in this year’s color (A Red Camaro), once you buy it your mind is tuned into 2014 Red Camaros.  So you notice more of them on the road.  But the truth is they were always there.  Or if you buy a new shirt and you go to a party and someone else also bought that shirt, you notice it right away.  That’s a part of your brain that is trained to notice “like items”.  It’s the reticular activating system.

To prove this point to myself; I was noticing 11:11 on my clocks a lot.  So I said to myself: “I’m going to notice 10:10 instead.  And indeed, I started noticing 10:10.  Now these numbers do STAND OUT like these two words written in all capitals.  But I still have to raise my head and look at the clock and how many times a day do you look at the time?

The Mathematical possibilities.

There are 1,440 different times if you combine A.M. and P.M.  Let me say that again ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FORTY TIMES a day.

Ask yourself: “how many repetitive times are there in a day”? …………16

So the odds are 16/1440 or (let me grab my calculator)  1 out of 90.  And that’s just to get a like number.  If you keep seeing 1:11 and you sleep through the morning cycle, it’s 1/1440.  But let’s take the odds of 1:90. That’s 1.1% chance of seeing those repeating numbers. The only one I can explain is 1:11 because I take a medication between 1 & 2 o’clock.  As for 5:55pm, (Never A.M.) I notice it because I’m usually watching the “O’Reilly Factor” from 5pm – 6pm.  I’ve said it before, I’m really glad there is no 6:66.

BTW, should you really want to drive yourself crazy; keep in mind that you only have 60 seconds to notice that time of the day. (Or 120 seconds if you’re awake when both times come around)

1.1% chance of catching one of these combinations is rare.  I catch on average about 3 to 5 a day.  What does this mean?  I don’t believe in coincidences.  I don’t want to make up stuff and say that 1:11 is good and 5:55 is bad.  I have no empirical evidence to support that.  There is an entire premise of research on the time 11:11.  It has some crap to do with angels etc…  (I know I shouldn’t call it crap as they could be correct if you have an open mind) Let me say that I advocate an open mind, yet not so open that you trip over your brain.

Personally, I think that noticing such high odds could be an attempt from the spiritual realm to communicate with you.  I won’t begin to speculate on what they are trying to tell me.  When I say: “The Spiritual realm” I’m talking about Spirit guides.  Or your “helpers” from the other side.  Jesus said the Holy Spirit would bless us with gifts.  Perhaps this is one of them.  I think the only way to research this mystery is simply to start a log of dates and events.

And just to push you over the edge; what do you think it means when you see 12:12 on December 12th? Or for that matter 1:11 on January 11th?  Do you want to know the odds of that happening? Since those times happen only 8 times a year (Jan 11th 1:11, Feb 22nd 2:22, November 11th 11:11 and December 12th 12:12, twice a day) Take .011 (1.1% and divide it by 8 and you get .0000138…or  .00138%  Now we’re talking Mega-Lotto numbers.  So can you just dismiss this as random numbers?  Or is someone or something trying to get your attention without using a partial body apparition in the mirror?

My guess is, when you start seeing these extremely low possibility numbers, be very observant as to what is happening in your life.  Don’t think good or bad because you don’t want to “manifest anything using the law of attraction”.  But just look at it as a “synchronicity”.  I believe that’s what they are.

James Foley & John the Baptist

REINCARNATION VS RESURRECTION

James

Each one of us is born into this world with his or her unique set of circumstances.  Our parents have different I.Q. levels.  They each have their own set of problems as well as personal belief systems.  I’ve always wondered if a child abandoned in the wilderness would grow up with a capacity to love or do we need to have love shown to us before we can love others?  Is it like riding a bike?  Or is that the reason most parents have an inherent love for their offspring?  Even mothers of cubs can demonstrate their love in the form of protection if you get to close to her children.

Are the circumstances for a white child born in south Chicago the same as a black child born in Mobile Alabama?  Why are some humans attracted to the same sex in spite of being born with sexual organs designed for procreation which requires the opposite sex?  Why did Jesus say to the thief of the cross behind him that he would be in “Paradise” today with Him”?  In short, we are all different in one way or another.

WHAT IS RESSURECTION?

I have studied the Christian Bible for 50 years.

I am far from being a Bible Scholar.  Then again, the saying: “Those who can do and those who can’t teach” comes to mind.  But my focus today is directed towards my fellow Christians.  For the majority of those choosing Christianity as their direction for an “After life”, it boils down to this.  When you die, you go to one of two places, heaven or hell.  The gate to Hell is wide and you will supposedly have lots of company.  The gate to heaven is narrow and “only a few” will find it. (Matt 7:13-14). When asked if there are any 2nd chances, you will encounter an emphatic NO and will be directed to Luke (16:19-31).  This is the story of Lazarus and the Rich man.  In short, The Rich man is Mr. Burns from the Simpsons and Lazarus is a street person who begs for Pizza crust at the gate of the Rich Man’s mansion.  (OK, I’m paraphrasing) but this is a good analogy of the parable.

Jesus is telling the story of the two earthlings.  Of course, after both of their deaths the rich man ends up in the lake of fire (Hell) and he sees Lazarus getting a back rub in better place.  Jesus tells us that the rich man pleads for a second chance, not for himself but for his brothers to convince them that Hell exists and to listen to the disciples and learn the way to salvation or the narrow gate.  (We won’t argue about how Lazarus learned to enter the narrow gate). The point being, Christian teachers teach that there are no second chances.

When Ace Andres dies, I will be judged to see if my name is on the manifest.  And I understand this.  But I also understand that the Ace Andres with beautiful long Raven hair, fast guitar hands and a bad neck is not the spiritual essence of what makes Ace Andres.  I have done what the New Testament says needs to be done to be saved.  I was baptized,(full submersion in water) confessed my sins, asked for forgiveness of my past sins and future sins, repented (which is an ongoing thing) and have championed Jesus as the only way to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Now let me define salvation.  It means you’ve been “salvaged” from going to the scrap heap.  You were made worthy of a complete restoration.  How do we get this “restoration”?  Does God wave his hand and you are perfect?  I think not.  God casted out a very beautiful Angel and 1/3rd of the Angels in Heaven to Earth for rebelling against God.  So I believe it is safe to say that Heaven is not a lawless place or dimension.

There are only two humans who have been resurrected.  Jesus the Christ and while performing his miracles on this planet, ironically, Jesus resurrected a human named Lazarus.  Lazarus, a friend of Jesus was dead for 4 days.  He was “Graveyard Dead”.  Jesus knew of the sickness of his friend and took his time getting to him.  (Talk about allowing bad things to happen to make a point) Jesus got there and was scorned for taking his time.  The point was, Jesus took his time so he could work His miracle and raised Lazarus, (who had been dead for 4 days) from the dead.  (John 11: 1-45)

 lazaraus-tomb

That’s resurrection.  This is what Abraham was telling the rich man was not possible.

WHAT IS REINCARNATION?

This is not only directed towards my Christian readers, but it’s also important for my agnostic and new age readers and friends.  Keep in mind, when Jesus raised Lazarus after 4 days of death, he resurrected the human known as Lazarus, the friend of Jesus the Christ.

Here’s the short version.

  1. You die and your body turns to dust. (Cryogenics notwithstanding)
  2. Your spirit/soul is judged.
  3. If you are saved, you go someplace good, if not “Cya, wouldn’t wanna Bya”.
  4. *Speculation- For some anomalous reason God sends your SOUL/SPIRIT back to Earth or Alpha Centauri or someplace for more work or learning.
  5. Your spirit “Possesses” an infant human body that is void of a soul/spirit.
  6. I think some babies are born with virgin infant souls and others are born as meat jackets awaiting the reincarnation of a previous SPIRIT.
  7. Bottom line is it’s your SPIRIT being sent back again NOT the same YOU. You may have memories of a past life and you may actually have habits and mannerisms of a past life, but now you’re someone else. So NO you are not resurrected like Jesus and Lazarus but your spirit is allowed to possess another human body for whatever reason. Personally, I think God can see the good in a soul that we often cannot see in ourselves so we’re sent back to get it right.

“Back in the Day” (sorry) but 2014 years ago, the concept or belief in reincarnation was a common belief.  How can I say this?  In the gospel of Mark chapter 8 verse 27, Jesus asks his disciples: “Who do the people say I am”?  Why does Christ ask his followers this odd question?  He didn’t say: “What do the people say I am” rather “Who”.  Everyone knew He was Jesus.  They knew who he was.  He was more popular than the Beatles and the people only had one name to memorize. (Not four)

Now listen to what his disciples told him: “John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.” Why would His disciples say that the people thought he was someone who had previously died in the Old Testament?

FINALLY

In the Old Testament, God tells Malachi that Elijah the Prophet will return before the coming of the Christ the Savior.  This was a concern to Christ’s disciples:

“See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the LORD you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty. (Malachi 3:1)

“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.” (Malachi 4:5)

When the disciples of Jesus heard and believed that Jesus was the Christ, they asked about Malachi’s prophecy about sending Elijah back.

In (Mark 9:13) Jesus explains:

“But I tell you, Elijah has come, and they have done to him everything they wished, just as it is written about him.”

Again in (Matt 11:13-14) Jesus says:

“For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.”

Finally Jesus spells it out in (Matt 17:12-13)

“But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him…” Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.

So God didn’t literally send Elijah back (Body and Soul) but sent Elijah back reincarnated as John the Baptist.  Just as the journalist James Foley, John the Baptist was beheaded as well.  Call it perhaps the price of doing the will of God.  I call it obedience.

JTB

WHY REINCARNATION?

In Matthew 5:48 Jesus says: “Be perfect as your heavenly Father is”.  If we haven’t worked out our anger issues, if we still have desires of the flesh, if we stumble with the truth, maybe the only way we can get it right is by being thrown back into the population for another learning experience.

AFTER YOU DIE

AND BEFORE YOU’RE BORN

LIght

There exists a place void of “space-time” as Einstein would call it.

James Foley, Jim Foley, Medill alum, Libya, prisoner

I’ve been gathering my thoughts after the decapitation of the young and brave journalist James Foley at the evil hands of some psychotic extremist who is probably just mad at his father and hasn’t grown up yet.  From what Mr. Foley’s brother said, he thought James volunteered to go first as a human sacrifice.

 Eclipse

But where is James NOW?  We know his body is probably still being abused in Syria but James is alive in the cosmos somewhere.  The question is where.  I know that the energy that is used to power the human body can easily power a city for a week.  If you don’t believe me, go into a “clean” room where they work on microchips.  Besides wearing “non-static” clean suits, they wear shoe covers and in some cases, bracelets that ground the technicians so they’re body’s static electricity doesn’t fry a whole board.  Yes, the human soul is the main stay of human life.  The body is simply a meat Jacket.

stang

I’ve looked upon the body as a random rental car that you’re stuck with during your incarnate existence.  I have a feeling that your rental body and mission could be determined by your previous rental excursions.  (That’s just my belief) You don’t get to pick the color, the body style, and in some cases, (like rental cars) you get a car that is going to have problems.  But unlike the nice people at Hertz, (sarcasm alert) you can’t return it.  But once the car runs out of gas or becomes un-drivable or uninhabitable; it’s time to visit the rental counter.

 Hertz1

I’ve rented easily over a hundred cars and I’ve driven them in some strange places like Peoria IL, Ft. Myers FLA, Manchester CN and even Misquamicut Beach R.I. (I had to work my Brain too damn hard to remember that place).   But I had a mission when driving my rental car at each of those places.  Some places were enjoyable, like playing in San Antonio.  It will always have a “special place” in my heart.  It was a huge stage and the audience was packed with blondes by Clorox.  I also played in a little place called Rheinlander WI.  Not much to talk about but the people loved it.  My analogy is, I tried to get better with each visit and I had little control over where I played.  Most of the time I tried to get a white Mustang convertible. But sometimes I had to drive a Black Crown Victoria and sometimes I had to drive a Blue Toyota.

 carscrushed

Regardless of the make, model or location these cars all have one thing in common now (with the exception of the last couple of Camaros I’ve rented) is that all the rentals of the past are in scrap heaps somewhere.  They’re flat pancakes waiting to be turned into toasters.  Using application; I would think that my current rental will be land fill along the California coast (somewhere).  Like all of the other rental cars I’ve driven, they were only needed to get me to and from my mission.

Sometimes when I can’t sleep or am not tired I visit www.NDERF.org  and read about people who have died and been resuscitated.  In the most recent batch of testimonies, they all had one theme in common.  It was so ubiquitous that it inspired this article.  A majority of them claimed that they were told: “You can’t stay, you still have things to do”.  I wondered what that was all about.  Were they being returned for their edification or were they needed back in the incarnate realm to help someone else?  God works in mysterious ways”!

If you use the analogy of the rental car, you realize that if you can’t return the rental car, you need to take good care of it if you want it to get you back to the rental counter.  When I look back at the many Mustangs I rented from Hertz, I cannot remember one from the other.  I do remember where I drove them and what my purpose was, but arriving in a White Mustang was never my purpose to be where I was going.  Looking back on the performances I gave, I think it even goes deeper than the performances.  I think, (Keyword) that when I get this rental back to the counter, I’ll be asked a series of questions such as how did this trip change you?  I don’t know what I am here to learn but I feel that my existence here is no accident.  Is my “Life Experience” the only way of improving my spiritual being”?  I don’t think my parents had me, I think I chose them; and yes Rick Derringer, I think you did ask to be born!

 JF1

James Foley’s early death was not in vain.  He exposed evil to the world.  I don’t know if they told him this at the rental counter when they gave him the keys to his rental and told him which model he was taking.  If we are pre-destined in this life then James Foley is what is referred to as a “Brave Soul”.  On this play ground called earth, James showed all the other kids on the playground the bully on the monkey bars.

Well done

If we think of the real James Foley as being the electrical source (soul/spirit) that operates the rental meat Jacket, then James is back home receiving his: “Well done, faithful servant”.

TERMITES           Gateway-to-Hell Flames of Hell

To ISIS, be warned that the wrath of God (and others) are coming for you.  Instead of receiving a: “Well done”, you will be told: “Keep moving” and sent to the scrap yard along with your rental.  Perhaps you will make a better toaster. Perhaps you will be reincarnated as the termite pest that you are. I do not know.  I’ve only read that: “Vengeance is Mine”. (Thus sayeth the Lord).

Lambo

From my readings of the Bible, when we come home, we get to pick our rentals only we get the pink slips so they’re not rentals and they’re not rental meat jackets.  They’re spiritual bodies that do not run out of gas or break down.

The key (no pun intended) is that you need to know how to drive it!

NO PITY FOR SUICIDE

DB

Shepherd Smith of Fox News is not the first person to call suicide a cowardly act.  From the survivors point of view; it’s like taking your ball and going home.  On the other hand, I wonder how many Congressional medals of Honor have been awarded posthumously to the brave Marine that threw his body on a grenade to keep the rest of his squad from being killed by shrapnel.  So those who can’t cope with the pressures of life are cowards, and those who “Take one for the team” are heroes.  The difference is one is a sacrifice for the greater good and the other is an inability to deal with the greater “whatever”.

UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES

When a person gets to the point of saying “screw it all”; all they can see is the pain that they are trying to escape.  They think they’re a loser because they might not be able to afford a new IPhone for their child because they just got laid off.  But what will happen when you cut your wrist and little Billy comes home from school and finds his deceased father on the couch and his blood soaked through the carpet?  Do you think that image is ever going to leave little Billy’s memory?  I know what it’s like to have to move a dead body.  I couldn’t kill myself because I wouldn’t want to be a burden on the EMTs let alone the poor person who found me.  They have to roll the body to one side and slide a body bag under half the body, then roll the other side up to put the other half of the body in the bag.  Sometimes (for those who need to go out using drama and a gun) they have to gather what’s left of your head and keep it with the body.  I just couldn’t do it.

A lot of people truly are cowards that go out by using someone else.  For example “Suicide by cop”.  If you walk into a police station with a weapon drawn and you get taken out; you’ve put the guilt of your death on the cop who dropped you.  Or let’s say you get dramatic and you take a hostage. (That’s sure to get a sniper’s attention) You’ve ruined the life of the sniper and the hostage (Not to mention those who were around the scene at the time of the shooting).

Some people take others with them.

A lot of people think that driving into an oncoming MAC truck is an easy way out.  What about the truck driver?  He’s going to slam the brakes on and possibly rupture his spleen. He might even flatten the Prius that was behind you.

Then there’s the insurance.  Most life insurances do not cover suicide.  So you’ve just left a huge financial mess for your beloved survivors to deal with.  But the troubled mind doesn’t think of that and if they do; it only makes them feel like more of a loser.

I was shocked when people thought the pilot of the Malaysian 777 flight that disappeared committed suicide taking 300 people with him.  That’s not only suicide but homicide.  What bothers me is that we, as a culture, have become so desensitized to the horror of murder that we don’t see it for the terrible “sin” that it truly is.  We are all related to one another.  What happens to one, in some way affects us all.  The television stations have no problems showing dead humans on the tube.  In the past the FCC would never allow it.  Now with You Tube you can go on the net and watch human decapitations.  Just as watching pornography takes the beauty and romance out of sex, seeing a life being taken takes a bit of the value and respect out of living.

Everything happens for a reason.  I don’t believe in coincidence.  I believe we are all given the gift of free will and a brain.  How we choose to use it will reflect on where we end up 100 years from now.  I’m not claiming that good people will have it better than bad people.  But what we do in the here and now has consequences.  Yes Sir Newton, for every action there is a reaction or even worse; a chain reaction.

Suicide answers nothing but causes a lot of pain and grief for those whom you didn’t intend to inflict it on.  It’s my belief that God will reward you for allowing Him to use you.  If you use your free will to “check out” before your time, I would be afraid of the consequences in the next place.

EVERYTHING HAS A CONSEQUENCE.

The oxygen you breathe turns to Carbon Dioxide.   That casual sarcastic insult can change a peaceful person into a potential killer.  Taking your own life is killing something that may or may not belong to you.  If the consequence is not served in this realm of reality, fear the possibility of the consequence in the future spiritual realm.

END OF TIMES

I’m not talking about “The End of the World as We Know It” or EOTWAWKI.  But simply the end of the World for mankind.   President Reagan once said that America is the last free nation on the earth.  He also said we’re just one generation away from losing our freedom.  There are those who are envious of our freedom and rather than fight for their own freedom; they want to see us lose our freedom.  This will result is a global war of good vs. evil.

The Bible talks about the destruction of the earth in the Final Book of the New Testament, Revelation. The Apostle Paul in his last letter to Timothy talked about the end of times.

Rather than go through Book Chapter and verse; let me give you the gist of it.  He said Evil will do Battle with Good.  We’re not talking about your side versus my side Evil.  Or a Giants vs. The Dodgers good and bad.  But that which represents good via Satanic measures vs that which wants the good for all.  We could easily be in a situation where just pockets of humanity exist.  Should Evil get its’ hand on WMDs, and other countries retaliate, the world will become a small place quite quickly.

We’ve been told that in the final days The Earth will shake.  Fish will stack up on the beach. Volcanoes will erupt.  The water will turn to red.  There will be wars and rumors of war (Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, Iraq)?  Paul used the term, tickled. “They will want their ears tickled”.  An anti-Christ will arise. (Promising hope and change)?  Finally, a great war will take place in the Holy land.

Have you seen Israel lately?

I will refrain from showing the multiple beheading pictures.  Just know that it is coming to America.  Obama has no plan nor interest in stopping it.  As he proclaimed to Turkey, America is the largest Muslim nation.

What were some of the situations or signs that the prophets gave us that we could objectively look for?

“Remember that there will be difficult times in the last days.  People will be selfish, greedy, boastful”

 Boastful

They will be unkind, merciless, slanderers, violent, and fierce; they will hate the good;

“They will be treacherous, reckless, and swollen with pride; they will love pleasure rather than God”

“They will hold to the outward form of our religion, but reject its real power. Keep away from such people. Some of them go into people’s houses and gain control over weak women who are burdened by the guilt of their sins and driven by all kinds of desires, women who are always trying to learn but who can never come to know the truth”.

Nobody will know when.  But it could be today, next week or next month.  But we are that close.  Don’t be fooled.  Get right with God and get your house in order.

AFTER THE DIVORCE

 gold black2

I will be referring to the termination of long term relationships.  (10 years or longer).  Did you know that the average divorce that makes it past 2 years, dies about 15 years later?  The normal long term divorce is almost predictable.  Most long term marriages (Usually w/ kids) last 17 to 20 years.  The time zone for this destruction is between the ages of 37 and 42.  If you’re a post grad professional like a Doctor, Attorney or Anthropologist, Add another ten years to the time zone of destruction.  But that time period is more of an “outlier”.

Mark Twain once wrote: “Youth is wasted on the young”.  Oh how true, oh how true!  If you want to have children and keep a steady income; the younger you marry and procreate, the more energy and tolerance you have for things like trips to the hospital for asthma attacks or unexplained fevers.  It is an asset to have youth on your side as a new parent.

 couple-arguing

But unfortunately, getting married in your early 20s like many traditionalists has one huge fatal built in flaw.  The insecurity/immature factor.  Unless you’re born a Romney and have incredible guidance and counseling; like most young couples, you marry someone that you have a good time with, have good sex with and over looks your short comings.

THE ANATOMY OF THE LTR

Let’s look at the anatomy of a typical long term marriage that destructs in the 17th to 20th year of matrimony.  A LOT of couples marry between the age of 20 and 25.  So let’s pick the age of 23.  You leave High School at 18, Get accepted to U.C. Santa Cruz, major in business and get your BA in Business at 22.  Then you have a voice in the back of your head saying: “Take a year off”. So you take a year to sow your wild oats.

 Woman Looking at Reflection

Since your parents probably divorced when you were 12 to 15, you don’t have anyone to turn to that wants to talk about how marriage works.  I did take a class in College called “Inter-personal relationships”.  I wonder why there were never any classes on Personal Development.  You can take this statement to the bank: “The only person you can change is yourself”.  After that, remember this: “You need to become the person you want to meet”.  But if you’re divorced, we’re talking about water already under the bridge.

Why people throw long term relationships away after 17 years is easy to understand.  It’s the number 40. (Forty).  For the average proletariat, the age of 40 is a milestone.  You start asking yourself questions such as: “Am I on the right course”? “Am I happy with my life”?  “How much longer can I put up with this psychotic bitch”?  “What would a divorce do to the kids”?  (That’s only if you have a conscience and have feelings for others)

BA

Here’s another unfortunate concern: “Men make easy targets for the wife’s unhappiness” especially because a woman’s beauty is her stock in trade if she doesn’t have a profession to dedicate her life to.  As much as I respect women who have careers, and stay at home mothers, you will find that the stay at home mother will be more concerned about where she is in life sooner than the career woman.  A career woman does not need a man’s support.  A stay at home mother needs not only outside financial support, but if she wants to attract another mate, she needs to do so before gravity takes effect.

 15_mph_sign

The age of forty is like a 15 mile per hour curve on a mountain road.  Those who intend to age gracefully, know that if you hit the brakes before the curve then accelerate into the curve, you’ll come out of the curve safely and in good shape.  Those who are holding on to memories of “the good old days”, roll up the windows, lock the doors, make sure the seat belt is on and floor the gas pedal and go screaming off the cliff in a “Thelma & Louise”, damn the torpedoes, fashion.

ThelmaLouise

What sucks is it only takes one partner to throw 17 years of marriage away.  The first question you ask yourself on that first night of sleeping alone is “How did I get here”?  The answer is simple.  You were clueless when you entered into this eternal bond.  You saw what you believed to be attractive and even more enticing; they were attracted to you.  You were having fun as a couple and you were having good sex.  You were thinking like a young couple.  Then before you knew it, your dreams seemed out of reach and your wife was no longer the cheerleader you were “In love with”.

THE FIX

Assuming you’ve tried everything to keep the boat afloat, and I’m mainly addressing those of you with children.  And once you’ve come to the conclusion that your spouse wants out before the children have both finished High School, (Which I would consider to be a main objective once the “love” has left the relationship)

 balance sheet

If you believe divorce is immanent, keep an eye on your finances.  If you’ve trusted your spouse for 2 decades to pay the bills, you may face the unpleasant surprise that “sweetie pie” has been putting your SUV payment in a special secret checking account.  I would keep an eye on every balance that is in your name.

 one sane mind

Seek personal counseling.  Couples counseling is preferred but if wifey tells you to shove counseling up your ass, go for your own personal mental health.  You’ll need it now more than ever.  Along with counseling, I would submerge myself in your church.  There’s a line in the new-testament where Paul writes in the second book of Corinthians: “If the non-believer wants to leave, let them leave”.

 Holy_bible

If you are a Christian, you know what the church’s views on Divorce are.  II Corinthians is the only living loophole.  If by chance your spouse wants to proclaim their Christianity, they need to stick it out.  If both are Christians, the only out is, (what’s that word)?  Oh yeah, adultery.  Divorce is a sin as well as adultery.  But all sins except Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and I think suicide are forgivable.  Theoretically.

MOST IMPORTANTLY AND ABOVE ALL

alone

The most important thing to do after you’re divorced is to spend time alone.  Let the emotions come and go.  If you did have invested emotions, you are going to hurt.  Having an affair with a person half your age may bolster your ego, but it’s not going to do a thing for you long term.

HOW LONG?

This is a great question and there is no definitive answer.  My suggestion is 2/10 or 1/5th.  This is a good (not perfect) equation for any relationship.  If you dated someone for 5 months, take a month off.  If you were married 10 years, take 2 years off.  If you were married for 17 years take 3 years and 4 months off.  I’m not saying don’t date for 3.4 years, but you need to be up front with the person you’re going to movies with.  Tell them that you’ve just gone through a divorce and that you would not be in the right frame of mind for anyone.  To be honest, I wouldn’t even start looking for 3 years.  It would be like trying to rebuild a house in a hurricane.  You have to let the winds die down before you can even think about the foundation.  BTW, the same goes, once you start dating, the 20% or 1/5 rule applies to the person you’re dating.  This can really suck because you might meet the perfect person.  But what happens if 3 years down the road, you meet another “Perfect” person and you say to yourself, did I act out of desperation?  The question will always be there.

REMEMBER: WAIT 2 FOR EVERY 10 YOU WERE IN A RELATIONSHIP

2 weeks for every 10 weeks.  2 months for every 10 months and 2 years for every 10 years.

FINALLY

One more fact/Principle you can take to the bank with you.  50% of all divorces happen from the time you say: “Hi, I’m Ace, what’s your name”?  Not 2 years from the time you say: “I do”, but 2 years from the day your relationship begins.  Naturally the longer you court each other during the first 2 years you know each other, the smaller the chances are of you falling into the 2 year 50% divorce rate.  The meaning of this principle is, if you wait 2 years before you get married; you will have already beat the 2 year 50% divorce statistic.  Why does this stat happen?  Because most people can hide their dark side or a bad habit for up to 18 months.  Ya know how on the first date you want to put your best foot forward?  Well 18 months later, it’s much harder to keep up the façade. That gives you 4 months to say: “Cya”.

WHY WE WANT TO BELIEVE

“I want to believe” ~ Agent Mulder (X-Files)

“My God doesn’t need a flying Saucer to get from here to there”. ~ Sideshow George AKA Giorgio A. Tsoukalos

As much as humans ask: “Why are we here”? The other question that often accompanies that is: “What’s next” and there is very good reason for mankind’s expectations.  Pediatricians as well as primary care physicians will tell you that most people do not have much memory recall prior to the age of four years of age.

Those who study Metaphysics say that children who claim to have a past life lose their ability to recall their past life at the ages of four to six.

Why do we think there is another dimension that comes after this life?  Because we’ve already made one transition that we are aware of.  When we were safely tucked away in the warmth of our mother’s uterus, we had everything we needed.  We were attached to our mother (our creator) by way of the umbilical cord.  In the same manner, many humans say we are attached to our spiritual creator by our soul.

When we were separated from the world of the womb, we didn’t know there was another world waiting for us.  For all our pre-natal minds knew; we would cease to exist once separated from the umbilical cord.  But it wasn’t so.  Our new life was just beginning.

So having gone through this life after Birth transition it’s only natural to anticipate a life after death transition.  We search for that transition which will relieve our minds.  This is why we look at the “Paranormal” as a possible answer to this “Next level” transition.  Some think we are the descendants of Ancient Aliens that will come to take us home to the star system Sirius. In the constellation Orion.

Many believe in the religious afterlife.  HEAVEN!  You’ll find a lot of competition down this avenue of thinking.  In fact there are some religions that will send you into the afterlife if you disagree with them.  They are currently waging war on everyone in the middle-east as we speak.

An ancient belief that is gaining traction again is the thought of “Re-incarnation”.  As much as this idea is shot down by biblical worshippers, one must remember that the Idea of re-incarnation was popular 2014 years ago.  Jesus asked Peter at the end of Mark 8:27: “Who do they say I am”?  Did you ever wonder what Jesus meant by this?  And look at Peter’s answer: “Some say you’re John the Baptist.  Some say Elijah others say one of the prophets”.  I believe Jesus asked his disciples this because re-incarnation was a popular belief 2000 years ago.  I have no idea how the concept of re-incarnation works other than your soul comes back in another body.  So you’re not really living twice.  You’re living once as one person, then again as someone else.  Thus, one life per person as the scriptures say.  Look at it this way, if the rules said a horse could race once at the tracks per day yet the jockey raced Seattle Slew in the fifth, then He raced Sea Biscuit in the seventh, the rules were obeyed.

THE STRING THEORY

string                            string-cheese

The string theory says that there are multiple dimensions of universal existence that can actually intersect.  This would explain life elsewhere but not life after our current life.  Unless of course we’re born into another world in another universe that intersects ours.  ………..naw me neither.

OXYGEN VOLUME 13

THE AUTHOR’S PERSONAL BELIEF SYSTEM

Personally, I do believe.  I believe that after we die, our energy goes someplace that was prepared for us.  It’s the same energy that operates our brain.  It’s the same energy that shows compassion or hatred.  I might add that there are probably various places that our energy can be sent.  Could it be Heaven and Hell?  Sure.  Could it be an infinite number of dimensions? Why not?  I cannot see how the creator of this magnificent  human body could have any limitations imposed on Him that he hasn’t willfully allowed.  If you want to worship a negative entity (Satan), I’m sure there’s a place for you.  This comes from my translation of the New Testament or Holy Bible assembled in 325A.D.  by the counsel of Nicea.  I believe that part of the Holy Trinity named “Jesus” MUST KNOW YOU.

Jesus

If you are special, I’ve heard of a place called the seventh realm of Heaven. What can I say?  It must be pretty awesome.  To me, I believe in the Holy Trinity.  This doesn’t mean I don’t believe in UFOs or re-incarnation.  I have no idea how it works and I would warn you to avoid anyone who claims to know.
